New Grower Purple Jems, Auto Assassin, Duurty Dragon Grow!

Okay, yesterday I began the germination process. I am attempting to germinate 4 seeds from each strain.

I will be using the following for this grow:

240w Blackstar - 24/0 until sex and then 20/4

I will be using the tiered method again which consists of a party cup of Promix and then inserted in to my 1 gallon smart bag containing 50/50 mix of Fox Farms Happy Frog & Ocean Forest. To each 1 gallon bag of the mix, I will put in one teaspoon of hydrated lime. I am going to work really hard to keep my soil at 6.5 to 6.8 PH.

I have Fox Farm nute trio and I have molassess & cal/mag. I have epsom salt, but I don't plan on adding any of that at the start.

I have my space heater & fan set up to warm and circulate the the air. I have my aerator for adding extra o2 to my water.

I am attempting to germ 4 of each, figuring if I get atleast a 50/50 ratio of male/females.

I will begin when I get some sprouts going. I am going to put the end of a water bottle over each one that germs. It seems to help hold in the moisture.

If I forgot anything, I will edit this later.

I will keep giving updates as things happen..

Thanks all... If I have a grow anywhere near what you guys do, I'll be very happy.

Do you all think that a party cup full of Promix will be enough until sex? I guess it really won't be any different than my first grow. They grew well enough even though I had them tiered from the start.

I am going to follow the feeding schedule of Fall Duplex for Fox Farms Nutes.

Week

1 pH water only

1.5 add in Big Bloom to the mix at 1/2 tea spoon

2 1/2tsp Grow Big 1/2 tsp Big Bloom

2.5 3/4 tsp of grow big

3 1tsp grow big and 1/2 Tiger bloom 1/2 tea spoon Big Bloom

3.5 1/2 tsp Grow Big 1/2tsp Tiger bloom

4 1tsp Tiger bloom 1/2 tsp Grow Big

4.5 Clean pH'ed water to clear out salt build up

5 2tsp tiger bloom 1/2 grow big

5.5 1 Teaspoon Grow Big

6 Begin Flush for the final weeks. At this point i can flush for a week before i begin to see yellowing
of the fans.

Ok, I have seeds soaking and a couple of them popped. Instead of growing them to sexing in 16 oz. party cups, I'm going to use 4 inch tall peat pots. I think it will be easier to use the peat pots to tier them. I want my roots to get closer to the nutrients faster. The party cup works great, but I want to see if these pots work as good or better.

After they sex, I will kill the males and put the peat pots in to a 1 gallon smart pot. I am germinating enough seeds so I will hopefully end up with two females from each strain.

If I can get 2 of each strain, I am going to experiment a little with nutes. I will use my hydro trio on 1 plant and the stuff they sell at Lowe's on the other. I can't remember the name, but Muddy suggested it to me when I tried growing outside in late summer. I never got far enough to try the stuff with those first couple of horrible attempted grows.

When I tier them, it will be only female that are growing, saving me precious grow space.

I have been maintaining temps between 70 & 80 degrees F with the help of my little electric space heater and the temperature controller I bought.

As soon as I have some life above ground I'll let you all know. I don't know what I like more, Smoking or Growing! Maybe it's growing while I smoke!

I can tell you MJ has some very positive affects on my pains and stress. It helps me to concentrate more on things and makes me more creative.

It's too bad the rest of the world can't see the benefits from MJ that we have all discovered. But I guess that would be no good because big drug companies like to keep us hooked on the stuff only they can produce. Nobody, especially big drug companies like MJ because, YOU CAN GROW YOUR OWN MEDICINE!

It's ashame that so many folks are unable to reap the true medical benefits of this marvelous little plant. I am glad that I have re-discovered that healing affects of MJ.

Ok, quick update... I checked them this morning and I have 1 Purple Jem & 1 Duurty Dragon breaking through the soil. Hopefully we'll have more out tomorrow.
