Dragon Meds Portal Bud Blast

Thanks, Dudeski, yeah they look great I think. I realise I was taking pictures before lights out so they looked kinda droopy previously, but they're filling the tent nicely and full steam ahead, Amber in particular is catching up to the others, but she's on an extra 6" platform to even them out. The Fairy Frost is about 20" average canopy height, and Rainbow Moonstone just an inch less. We'll see how much more they may stretch.

Yellow shoots seems to have resolved with slightly more attention to ph. :haha: I should have a username LAZYmedi... But yeah, the soil is working well and they look healthy.

Rainy season is here though and my humidity is running high, got a dehuey on the way here...

Thanks again for checking them out :jointman:

I enjoy watching your grow because you are laid back with them. Helps keep me in check!
I want to try the kis soil, but they want 51 bucks to ship it. Im in the states but dang, thats steep. Idk, its a big bag so it would probably even out in the long run.

Hey bro, I like the soil very much, I think their product is very good. The real beauty is the nutrient pack, it's the key. You can use it to reamend your soil for only a few bucks each time, add a little compost/castings and perlite and you're good to go. Even calmag doesn't seem to be needed, their formulation has like 10% calcium.

To save money, you can just use the nutrient pack to amend your own local peat and perlite or "lightmix", just add some compost or castings. It will cost half the shipped bag price to build your own mix, you can do like 30 to 50 gallons of soil depending on the strength you want.

I decided to try the premixed bag because I didn't need a full batch, I've already mixed 3 packs this year...that soil will get reused next year for almost no extra cost. I'm impressed with it so far, I plan to continue testing it now that I'm on to it. :coffee:

They're really zipping along now, FF has a bunch of branches at 29 to 30" tall now. Hung a third panel in there to help keep warm and give more light angles. A lot of growth over the past week, can't wait to see those buds :smoking:

There really looking great Medi. Nice shape and canopy. :peace:

Thanks, kev, they're nice plants so far. That Fairy Frost has stretched more than I anticipated. I've actually done a fair bit of defoliation although it doesn't look it...it's busy in there :woohoo1:.

I put my tower fan in there on the floor, blowing up through the canopy. I think the environment is favorable for continued success, we'll see how it goes. Thanks again for checking them out
:smokeout:

Day 47.
Gave them a light drench of bone meal, carbs, humics and millet wash. Also got a green coconut and added some of her fresh water to the drench, first time trying that. The fan leaf stems are turning red color and I felt they could use some extra P. Overall looks good, I believe the stretch has ended and should see more focus on bud growth now, we'll see.

Thanks for looking in.

Thanks, Dudeski, I'm happy how they look. Knew it'd be kinda crowded, but in a good way :smoking:.

Amber looks a little hungry to me which is kind of a surprise. Going to give a few days and see how this drench does, might have to actually give her a lil sumpin sumpin extra.

Could also be some light stress--she's under my backup light and I've noticed plants don't do as well under it. I did add a little 12w 660nm spotter to help improve the spectrum...that and the rays from the panel next to it will hopefully blend out okay. I'll upgrade some time down the road, just making the best of what I have for now.
