Ok, I get bored easily and, taking some inspiration from a certain @archie gemmill I've decided to learn lst the hard way by doing the Cali in a pot smaller than a Ramen Noodle cup.

Seed is in wet kitchen roll as we speak, my favoured way of germinating, going to go straight onto 12/12 under, to start with, my 6500k replacement bulb and I have an 18w 2700k deglobed and ready to go after a week or two under the 6500. What I can tell you is that at 5" above the light meter that 2700 gives me 50k lux.

I'm not after a huge yield, but to get more than a few g I WILL have to top, lst, the lot, and I'd rather do that with a seed that cost me a euro from one of them bubblegum machines in a coffeeshop in Amsterdam than with something that costs more which I would want to give a decent result, bollocking this one up is no great loss but the learning will be priceless.

Either way, it will still be fun.

So wish me luck, and don't be surprised if this goes spectacularly wrong!

More to follow, as long as the seed pops.

chicken and mushroom ?
good luck pal and keep er lit.
:pighug:

No, a flower pot smaller than a pot noodle pot.

I always say that if you're going to fuck up, fuck up in style

Ok, prepped and ready. Got some perlite for this run but not sure if I'll use it as I'm usually happily growing stuff without it, I water from below so generally I can get away without perlite but this is going to be a more "special" case so oxygen in the roots will be important BUT that's valuable compost space in something so small. Now just got to decide whether to use a 12cm wide by 9cm high pot or a smaller, 8.5cm, wide one.

So it's wait, wait, wait on the seed, IF it pops.

Enjoy the show

Still waiting on something to pop, doesn't look like it will, but no worries because I'll be ordering more seeds up today or tomorrow anyway so there might be a Purple Haze or a Northern Lights Haze, a Power Plant or another Acapulco being grown instead.
