Things are getting interesting already! I had 2 of the 4 seeds sprout yesterday. BOTH are the ones in the soil amended with worm casting. Maybe its just a fluke, but... the other 2 still show no sign of sprouting so these girls already have a 24 hour headstart!
Update:
3 sprouted, the 2 in worm castings and 1 in the GrowMore amended soil. The plant in GM looks sickly, not sure its going to make it. The 4th never completed sprouting. The 2 plants in the WD pots are doing fine and look quite healthy. Leaves on GM 1 look a bit twisted but it may be too early to tell for sure.
2 of the three survivors are doing very well. The third barelt got past the cotyledons. I haven't culled it yet but I will today, at this point even if it grew, it would amount to nothing. So Now there are 2. The remaining plants however are looking very healthy.Nice leaf development and good color. No signs of deficiencies. They will receive 90 ppms of Cal/Mag with the next watering. thats all the Cal/Mag I will use. So far, that method has worked fine for all my soil plants. Water used is RO water. I water when the pots feel light and I try to never saturate them as using organic soil, build up of salts isn't an issue usually.
These plants continue to do well. WC 1 is 4.5 inches tall now and has a 7" spread across the leaves. WC 2 is 5.5" tall and is 6.5" across. Color on both is a nice, medium green. Looks like WC 2 may be flowering. O moved both plants into the veg cab so that they can get a longer light period. They have been on 12/12.
Update:
Day 28:
Growth continues to be good. WC1 is 8" tall now. color is a medium green. no sign of flowering yet. WC2 is 13" tall. color is a lighter green than the other plant. seems to be a different phenotype, as the leaves are also different from WC1. She is in flower for about 4-5 days now. I moved the plants all into my new tent. they are under one, Mars Hydro 300 watt Old Style light. Light cycle is now 20/4
WC1 is looking poorlt. This was caused by bad water. I've flushed them with distilled water and I have new filters coming for my RO unit. Surprisingly, WC2 shows only minor damage at the moment and will probablt not suffer the damage that WC1 has. Sad too because they were both nice plants. I'm going to let WC1 rinish if she will, hope to get a little bud from her.
WC2 hasn't flowered and I'm starting to suspect she won't. this being 37 days. I'll eventually put her under 12/12, no sense wasting a plant. I'll know in a few days if this grow will continue, it depends on if the flowering plant, WC1, makes a comeback or not.
Its a shame about WC2 not autoing, its a beautiful looking plant.
