I'm using an RO unit, however I was hoping to conserve water. you know I hope, and RO unit wastes about 10 gallons of water for every gallon it makes.........

WOW that is a eye opener that is allot of water to make one gallon of RO water 10 to 1 is not a good ratio . Learn something new at least twice a day.

I would recommend rainwater to anyone who can collect it. 10:1 ratio is defeating the point of growing organic IMHO.

Update:

My Blue Dragon has recovered from the Cal/Mag deficit and is building buds very nicely! The buds are packing on weight now and nearing the 4 week mark. The pic doesn't do her justice really. I've got 24 bud sites all building big buds! Right now, the tallest cola is 8". Can't wait to see what she looks like when she finishes! May be my best harvest yet from a single plant. Right now, my best is 168 grams ( 6 ounces ) I'm hoping for 200+ grams from this fine lady!

I agree and it bothers me. I'm trying to find a couple free/cheap rain barrels so that I can keep the RO for just my indoor plants. I'm also now getting some water from town and de-chlorinating it, then will mix with the RO water. I've used the city water before and had no ill effects, ppms are about 90 so not over loaded with minerals. In fact, its processed lake water.

Update:
I was going to start ba separate thread for this, but I have enough to keep track of as it is...lol!

Three days ago, I planted a Mephisto Walter White, direct to soil. Ot broke soil this morning!! THREE days to fully sprout, amazing!
she's planted in a 5 gallon pot ( about 4 gallons really.. ) on my usual organic soil mix with some fresh worm castings and Organic Soil Builder. Right now, she's under my 180 watt Mars Hydro UFO. She'll get moved to my tent when the photos in it are done, about 3 weeks. I may stick one of my 300 watt Msrs lights in the cab in place of the ufo model after a week or so.

My Blue Dragon is getting close to chop time! I plan to cut her down June 15th. She'll be replaced by a Yoda's dragon's Breath in a 15 gallon tote. She'll be documented in another thread, The One Pound + Autoflower Club. This thread will take a break as I document other specific grows, but I'll return here with a Sea of Green grow after the YDB is done!

Blue Dragon's got some great buds on her! The pics don't do her justice. some of the colas extend well below the net. All are rock hard and super sticky! I'll try for close up pics next time, get you some bud porn! Almost forgot, the Northern Lights and the MOB x Stone x Jack are now stuck under they net to finish out, as the tent is going to be full of Dragon's Blood soon!
