Damn lol you guys have giving me alot of options, Yea electricity cost is somewhat of a concern, i mean i don't want to add an extra 200 dollars per month to my bill. Right now i am running three 240watt black star LED's in a 3 x 6 area, and it did very little to my electric bill. Money for equipment isn't a big issue to be honest. I don't want to have to drop say 5 grand on a lighting system lol. I just want something that is going to be a nice setup for the tent, now i know there are alot of configs that would be a "nice setup". I want the tent to look like a jungle inside.

Should i just think about sticking to LED lighting and add more blackstars.....?

:firedevil:do it:firedevil:

Sure any equipment could fail, but like all things you get what you pay for. A fan is just as likely to fail and there goes the crop too. Part of growing is trying minimize loss but accepting it if....when it happens. I honestly can't speak for light rails, I've never used one. Seen some dope dope grown with em though.

absolutley stick with the blackstars!:thumbs:hid and t5's are streetlight technology, they work but at way to much cost:2cents: cheap to buy, expensive to run!!
led with 5year lifespan tailored spectrum, very low cost to run! step into the 21st century:peace:

Since you already have the 3 Blackstars I'd be inclined to use those over half the area and put a 16 bulb Bad Boy in the other half. I'm running two Blackstars in a slightly smaller space and they do a good job. Three in a 4 x 4 area would be killer. A 16 bulb BB is 46" x 46.5", so would cover the other half perfectly. I've been running some numbers on them in preparation for setting up a new hydro grow. A 16 bulb costs about $60 a month to run 20/4 at $.10 per kwH.

That's a cool option, specially since they offer 5 year warranty, though I wouldn't know about prices for transports. Make sure to let us know what was the price they offered you.

Also, do you know if they're compatible? Like, if it's possible to replace any of the parts with HydroGrowLed's?

I am thinking its the EXACT light as the hydro grow leds, Most LED's are made in china and branded with a company name.
