This is my fourth attempt at growing. All of them have been average so far. Last grow I managed 21g dry off one LSD-25 under a 60w CFL in poor environmental conditions, in an 8L smartpot.

This time, I'll be growing, in a whole new setup:

3x Dinafem Industrial Plant CBD (for my mother who has cancer, I am growing this so she can use it in a vaporiser)
1x Dinafem Cheese
1x Fastbuds LSD-25
1x Sweet Seeds Red Poison
2x Humboldt Blue Dream

They are in 6.5L plastic pots, with plant magic soil supreme & 20% added perlite, growing organic w/ Old Timer nutrients.

Light is a Platinum LED P300.
Tower fan on 'nature breeze' mode at the moment.

Here they are, on day 4. Two of the plants are a few days behind as they were planted once I realised 2 of my other seeds weren't going to make it, so I called a medium number for the whole grow at day 4.

Environemnt is ranging from 22c-26c, LED is on VEG mode at 40 inches from the tops. Been spraying them with plain water up to now.

Please join for the ride!

Hey @PlatinumLEDTom kind of, it's a locker! I had it custom made by a company. I hope they do too. I feel that they aren't quite as far along as previous grows at this stage, the older ones are technically 5/6 days old now, and when I started under CFLs they had a second pair of leaves by the end of week one. Is this because I've got the LED too close/far away, or just because it needs to get used to the LED light? Or lack of blue spectrum?

Thanks!

There is definitely a good amount of blue spectrum and UVA diodes within the light. They may just need a little bit of time to get used to the LED. You can also start moving the light down to 24" as it begins to veg more and more. Just make sure you don't see any sign of stress this early on in their development. They should start pushing out new leaves in no time.

@PlatinumLEDTom nice, I'll lower it a little day by day! Can't wait to see how they end up! Also very surprised at how cool they run  I'm having the opposite problem to last time with temperatures. My last grow was all done 28c-35c.

I'll be posting some picture updates tomorrow. Things seem to be going okay though. The blue dream seedlings look like they're going to be quite finnicky already - brown rusty spots on the first pair of leaves and the other seedling has some strange discolouration on the leaves.

I have two beans that are about 3-4 days behind the others, and as a result I think they have been stunted by the LED being too close to them (even though it's ideal for the other 6 plants). It's currently about 32" about the pots - I would like it closer but have compensated for the seedlings already. I have moved them to the edge of the light coverage so it's less intense - is this okay? Would rather not have to raise the light!

Moving the seedling to the edge may help a bit. If you are seeing some brown rusty spots, you may want to check to pH levels. You should aim for the 6.5 to 6.8 range. If it goes too far above or below that there can be some CalMag deficiencies.

Hi @PlatinumLEDTom I don't actually check my pH levels or do any adjusting. I know you should, but I don't have the space and it's hassle. I'm not growing for optimum yield. I usually just bubble my nutrients together for an hour or two and then water. Haven't done any feeding yet, they're getting their first feeding tonight of PM grow, PM root stim, PM catalyst and PM silicone. I'll give them a small amount of magnesium if the spots continue!

Here's some pics for anyone interested... day 9. Taken just before another light feeding of 50-100ml each. Will see their reaction tomorrow morning and then probably start to up the amount from there. Why is it that after I spray with the mister, the leaves go all droopy? Is it from the weight of the water or what? It's literally an instant reaction. But then they usually perk right back up. Weird...
