Indoor ph rise question

My aerated water always showed a higher ph after aeration! I thought it was the O2 that did some chemical magic in the water! Ahah!

Thanks alot for that research of yours! +Rep

Actually it's normal for the ph to rise after aeration cos of the gaseous exchange (removal of impurities etc) and also as the water increases in O2 the ph rises, too. IIRC temperature affects it also, I think with higher temps the ph is lower and vice-versa so if it's a cold day the ph reads higher (pretty sure it's that way). But then we could get into a debate about whether or not ph rises in pots because the temps warmer under the lights and so on, and before long we'd just give up and get stoned instead. :D

From tons of the forum I know ph should rise a bit with aeration like + 0.3 in 1 week but not + 3 in 2 days. Thats why I was keeping searching and finely found it. All other symptomes were eliminated by tests. Rise of ph with temp : made a couple of test by warming nutrition solution from 18 to 27 and with ph tester (compensation build in) it did changed only 0.1. CO2 rised it 0.2 and after re-calibration stay the same for couple of days - like this it was eliminated as well. I'm happy this is solved but one of my plant had to much of this and start to give up. It is droopy and starts to show lack of cal/mag on the leafs....

Now I know it exactly and it is more than one thing,
My ph tester does not have auto temp compensation one it give me rise in ph 0.1-0.3 when my res temp is rising. And my solution is canna aqua and it takes 2-3 days to stabilize it gives me drift in 0.3-1ph. And the biggest ph riser is my f... :finger: air-pump that I hate already from the first day I bought it, apparently 85l/m is to much for 2 buckets of 30l and it give me ph rise of 1-3 and ripping roots.
Solution is quite simple will get new ph meter + will premix my solution to 5.2-5.4 and give it 1 or 2 days + lowered pressure by piercing a couple of holes in air pipes.
BTW do you have this behavior of air, does it rip some roots in your res? Is it normal?

Glad you got that sorted man. I can't claim to know shit since I just started my first DWC grow, but ripping roots doesn't sound good man. I would have done the same thing and bought a big pump when I started since I've always planned to expand, but I guess I'm glad I didn't. Here's a pick of my improved setup. Recirculating DWC. Haven't had any problems so far "knock on wood". Check it out Bro.
