so I must have overdid it with the ph down this week. I just watered again to runoff and took a slurry test. And I got a really low ph number. 5.0!!! This is the first time this has happened. Should I worry? After doing some reading I think what I should do is on my next watering., use water PHed to about a 7 and that should equal it out? I usually shoot for in between 6 and 6.5 I’m in soil. And the plants are only about 3 weeks along. Hopefully I haven’t messed things up too badly. They still look pretty happy.but Problems probably won’t show themselves right away. I just wanted to ask someone in case I’m way off here. So much information on the internet and not all of its good. What do you guys think? Appreciate the help

major swings in pH are not a good idea. Following 1 with another is even worse. Next feed, back to normal. Check again. If still low, following feed bring up a point or 2. And reinoculate microbes. They're not fond of big pH swings especially towards the acidic. Your soil life probably took a hit.

If I need to, how would you recommend that I bring it up? The way that I was going to or do you have another suggestion? Thanks.

You could use a small amount of calcium carbonate will raise pH, and stick in the soil. You could use that to adjust your feed pH to 6.6, 6.7 and watch the soil test for it to balance.

Am sure there's another product that would work as well. But it's what I use as a pH up.
