Nice. I have a book around here somewhere in which the writer builds a strip of cfl bulbs with wood, sockets and bendable metal as joints. He surrounded the plant with it, top and sides, and arranged them within inches of the plant. He was trying to demonstrate that it was light intensity that the plants react to. He grew a very pretty plant in my picture book.

Found the book! Here’s a picture of the lights. The books called Marijuana Buds for Less by SeeMoreBuds.

You should look in to led bulbs, you could use 5000k for veg then switch to 2700 - 3500k for flower. For best results cut the plastic bulb off with a dremel to expose leds . It’ll do better then those cfl’s . Vanity bathroom lights work well for $20 & you could mount them to the ceiling of the cab . Good luck & have fun !

@RareAmigo what kind of soil are you using? They are definitely not all created equal. You might need some nitrogen. If it were my plant I would probably give it a dose of fertilizer @ 1/4 strength and see if it helps after a cpl days. Out of balance ph can also cause nutrient uptake issues. But a mild fertilizer watering definitely won’t hurt it. I always use good potting mix to start all my plants here on the farm because those babies need a good start.

@wes I am using some soil i bought in a local gardening shop, it says it have some nutrients already. I don't have a way to check ph.
I didn't soak the soil on the start as it was kinda moist so after the last update i tried to flush it with water in case there was a nute burn.
Let's see if it survives.

That is a common problem with getting pre-mixed soils. You do not know exactly what is in it. Was it evenly mixed, etc. You may want to try your hand at coco next time. In the meantime flushing soil - flushes out the good with the bad. Get some Mykos inoculant and a good line of cannabis designed nutrients, use the entire line following the vendors charts. It is not to late to save this baby!

I use Miracle Gro organic potting mix to start all my plants, not just Marijuana. Have for years. Many growers will say its crap but in my experience it’s just as good at $13 a bag as the stuff that costs $30 and $40 for starting MJ, and it’s probably available at every Walmart in the world lol. Marijuana is a very fast growing plant that is a heavy feeder that’s true; but for starting seedlings it’s the quality and balance of the soil, not how much fertilizer is in it. Soil is a delicate living thing in itself. The proof is in the pics. This 14 day old plant was started in Miracle Gro organic potting mix and has received nothing but distilled water.

@NewDream
That's very cool.
I am trying to understand a bit about how to grow, how it grows, etc.
It's more of an experiment, the beginning of my learning curve.
Thanks for the book name, i'll try to find out more about it.
:thanks::pass:
The book says it was used at Oaksterdam University. It’s a step by step, day by day of a simple cfl grow, which uses Miracle Grow soil. It’s a good example of how simple growing can be and all for under $100.

After the last update i thought if this is going to die i might also try to put some coffee waste as i heard it might help with nitrogen.

Day 16
After my flush attempt leaves started to look a bit droopy but it's slowly growing. Didn't give it water since.
Cotyledons continued to get yellow maybe it's time for them.

Day 17
I noticed a small web on the soil that i marked in red in the pic below and was wondering if there is anyway to know if these are spider mites or just a friendly spider?
Hope you can help thanks.
