Hello all, found this awesome community recently, i have been lurking for the last couple days and decided to join.

This is my first time, wanted to learn how to grow for some time, so this will be an experiment and the beginning of what i hope a good learning experience.
What i want from this journal is to keep track and learn something from you. Do not expect a huge yield. I will be happy if the plant produces some healthy buds.

I have got some seeds of Sweet Skunk from Sweet Seeds and decided to germinate one of them and put it in the soil that i bought at a local garden shop.

Startup Setup:
-PC case (48x18x40)(cm)
-3L pot
-Seed
-Soil
-Water
-2x20w cfl lights
-1 exhaust pc fan 80mm
-Temperature/Humidity meter

Germinated in a water, then paper towels, then put it in soil.

Say hello to my little friend!
Day 4 (or 5) :)

Good start, what's your lighting? Any chance of a pic of the inside of the cabinet?

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Using 2 x 20w CFL for lighting. It's currently under light 24/7.
Temperature have been stable around 27 Celsius inside the case with the humidity ranging from low 30 to low 20's in the first days and today is in the high 40's - due to weather outside.
Fan is wired to an old phone charger.

Here's a shot inside the case.

I had to put the pot on top of a small phone box because the seedling was stretching a bit in the early days.

Day 6

I took a look at some other journals and your plants seem to grow a lot faster than mine, but no worry.
Slowly growing, she seems bigger today, still waiting for her second set of real leaves, maybe they come up this weekend.
26º C 42%

Day 6 looks ok. Lot of stuff going underground. Those CFLs can be 2" away and be fine.

@RareAmigo The link in your signature sends the viewer out to a non-logged in page - not ideal. To fix it copy the link with the HTTPS header for your thread and copy it to the clipboard. Then go to your signature update page, change the link to include the https then highlight it and click on the link symbol (chain link) and paste the link in there and insert, close and save.

Thanks.

Good luck with this one mate, I'm subbed.

How consistent is the temp through the case? I'm just thinking if those bulbs give off quite a bit of heat it might be higher at plant height than it is where you've got your thermometer.
