RO, you are totally right and I totally get what you are saying, I've been worrying about the same thing from the mountains of Andalucia in 38C!
When I came back (we landed as what was left of Hurricane Bertha moved in over UK!) I found a 3 tiny sites on one plant of an unknown grey mould (looked a bit like a grey filamenty/cobwebby type mass.) I decided to cut each bud of immediately and keep a close eye on them daily. I'm strongly considering trying to make or get some hydrogen peroxide spray but am concerned about smoking it afterwards (any advice on that anyone?) The current humidity is high all day (despite the wind!) and its PERFECT for fungi and moulds so I know its crucial to do what you can to fight it.
Whilst away, the big girls went bonkers and fatted right up (they're still powering actually.) Consequently, they have choked up the whole area with leaves, so its damper everywhere. They're also eating all the light (!) so things aren't entirely peachy and I'm feeling the combination of the three unknown supers/photos in the middle of my grow and my inexperience right now.
I've hacked a couple of decent branches from the large girls to allow for more circulation and light around the three smaller Yetis and cleared the ground beneath everything in an attempt to aerate the area more. After that, all I can do is keep my fingers crossed and hope the weed and weather gods are getting along enough to favour my crop this year.
My main concern now, is when to harvest. My diary of choked up and I have 10 more days away coming up.
Incidentally, I decided took a clean section of one of the removed buds and dried it. I realise smoking mould is potentially very damaging, so I was very careful to cut out the tiny mould spot (with a whole lot extra around) and picked off the cleanest little nug I could see. Two days later, after inspecting it again (it was clean) I smoked it.
I know nubes tend to harvest too early anyway so its really playing on my mind, so I decided to find out how strong it is right now incase I need to hack them early.
Seeing how high it gets me right now, compared to what I'm buying currently (which is actually really nice) could only help. I have to say - it got me really boxed and I think thats not even the ripest plant!
Will finish cleaning up out there and take a few more pics later and maybe some bud close ups and try to get more opinion from you all. This is when I need your advice the most - please pitch in!

To harvest or not?.....
HELP PLEASE GOOD BUD PEEPS!
Plant 1:
Although its pretty scabby looking, it looks the most ready of these 3 plants to me - leaves are yellowing etc, but it is only day 62!
Plant 2:
this looks next most ripe to me, but still needs time (also day 62.) This was the one with some mould on (see previous post) but the bit I smoked got me REALLY high. Other than that, the British weather has obviously also taken its toll!
Plant 3:
This is the nicest looking of the three, seems to have the bud most on, but also seems the least ready.. also day 62 of the same variety apparently (suspect maybe not!)

The harvest window is pretty broad bro and you look like your close with all of them...why not take the one you think is closest and give the other two another week?

I had mold too and I now have the clean stuff I had to cut with it hang drying back home. Weather certainly hasn't been all that great, but with a summer like this it's not like we didn't see this coming.
Hydrogen peroxide is really just water and an extra oxygen, and people use it as mouth wash. In fact I saw Jorge Cervantes promoting the use of H2O2 in dealing with PM and that's why I bathed the possibly infected parts of the cut off main cola in diluted peroxide.
I'm a total newbie but I agree with TaNg. If it gets you high, then why not? You should get some variety in effects that way as well.
Looks like you've got some good results, and if you feel that any of them are good to harvest before they get struck by any mould than that's just even better. You only need to please yourself smoke-wise, so if it does the business then job's a good un. Take them either when you feel they are ready, or before they get mouldy.
There can be quite a bit of variation between different individuals of the same strain (it seems to be called "phenotypes" generally) so differences in appearances and various other characteristics are not so uncommon. Two plants from the same strain can indeed look completely different from each other. There's certainly a good deal more variation than you would normally see in flowers and vegetables.
I think 2 and 3 will happily go for longer if conditions permit. Are the big ones flowering?

I decided to do a tactical harvest, based on the fact the Yeti 2 got me really high. It also helps with the practical side of planning my time as I have to be around when they are hanging etc. I figured, given the mould issue, that its better to get some weed now, rather than none later.
Yeti 1 & 2 got the chop and after fan leaves were removed and sugar leaves had their ends trimmed, I got a measly 36grams from each plant, but its a start!
Yeti 3 - which I think is the biggest, will get the chop later in the week. I just want a few more days to really try and bring her on a bit (which seems impossible IN THIS SHITTY WEATHER.)
Anyway, the girls are currently hanging in my cool garden shed with 4 tiny tea light candles way beneath them to try and keep the air moving in there. Fingers crossed!

Dr Who - yes, the big girls are nearly flowering (pre-flowering now!) - they're going to be months more and I'm uncertain as to wether they'll make it. We'll see...

As UK weather goes, things will probably look up again by the weekend. But totally understand the bird in hand rather than two in the bush approach.
Smoking ones own weed is the business. No coughing, no feeling like your lungs are going to explode and all the nonsense that I thought went with weed smoking. It turns out the coughing and bursting lungs has to do with the uneccessary crap in dealer weed, not weed itself.
The supreme leader and I have been basically working like dogs during the day and then getting baked on our weed evenings and weekends.
I know you are going to have a whale of a time sampling your goodies.
