Outdoor Outdoor UK, first time - journal & ref

I can confirm that depending on the conditions autos are always at least a little slower outdoors than indoors. I had a crappy start with mine and they've just started to pick up the pace.

Oh, and really nice plants btw! :)

Thanks Wiener, i got that impression. Its difficult (having never grown any before) to know exactly when that is likely to be. I assume my best guess is from reading signs from the plant itself (like trichomes milking up or something?) Does anyone have any perfect early ripeness (35%/50%) photos they can show me please? Something to guide me visually as to when my plants are at this stage? The moment before they start the hack!

Well, you could use Muddy's advice and wait for the bud leaves to start yellowing. But since you like a head high... It depends much on the strain I guess. Keep posting pictures and asking when to expect a harvest date, the good people of AFN will surely tell you. ;)

It's all looking lovely man. I'm not an outdoor guy but your plants look to give you some nice bud through the winter months. Good luck.

The way they look let them go until at least day seventy. I a new to growing Autos too bro

As already suggested by one of the posters, I would suggest you have a read of Muddy's article about the life cycle of an auto. I followed his guidance and harvested my BPK when most of the leaves had turned yellow.

I definitely think that you want to leave it until the fan leaves have yellowed at least if you can.

I haven't harvested this one yet, but will soon.

I reckon you`re about half way there mate. Generally, if a breeder states 70-80 days, then I`d add another 1-2 weeks t`that( best t`check the trics though. Buy a cheaper jewellers loupe). Just my "My 2 cents" ...They look like they`re coming a long very well, nice work! :Sharing One:
Oh, I should point out that I grow indica dominant and enjoy a more narcotic effect!

Look at my bad ass beauties - so chuffed with their progress so far -despite half my crop turning out to be unknown supers, or photos)

The weight these puppies have put on in the last 10 days is incredible - full sun all day outdoor in SW UK with high temps and high humidity. Despite 3-4" tip pruning, and some extensive LST, they just lapped it up and have filled out nicely. I need bushiness to help hide the grow in my domestic situation (I reckon I could do a post on that alone -something based on "Camouflage & Companion Planting') and I'm happy to sacrifice main colas on the unknown giants - I should get heaps of nuggs - which I assume will be nearly as good?

When Yetis have been harvested in about a month -they'll be even more light and air around the rest too.

This is the memory I leave behind as I step in an aeroplane tomorrow and cross my fingers for two weeks in sunny southern Spain... (I had to photoshop in a bit for the dreamy effect!)
