New Grower our first grow

hello afn friends, this is our first grow. this thread will be a log and a journal on our grow as well as a place to ask questions and for help. our original plan was this https://www.autoflower.org/f44/first-grow-need-some-help-41206.html but after speaking to some of you guys we decided to do it differently. we are going to grow in a fridge as our grow box, in it there will be 2 plants which we will likely scrog or lst there will be an intake and an extraction fan and the light will be hps with cfls to work as a side lighting we also would like to make co2 system to increase yield (picture of the fridge below) if there is something that we are forgetting or are doing something incorrectly please do tell us will keep you updated as soon as we have something new to show. thankyou for reading and happy growing to everyone.

nice box. being your first grow, I wouldn't mess with co2. just stick with the basic's and get thru your first grow. as your skill's and knowledge expand then get all fancy a little at a time,lol. what strain's soil/hydro/coco are you using?

Welcome seems like a great setup should do exactly what you want to do. Have you thought about what strains yall are going to do? Also on a side note Samurai I am not following you I promise!

we want to go with a good and high yielding strain considering that we have to split the harvest between 4 people. the choice is between 3 strains heavyweight fast and vast, thing different or critical+2.0. which one do you think is the most yielding and rewarding from these 3? do you recommend something else? regarding grow medium we would like to make a dwc hydro setup but where we live we do not have any hydro shops and getting nuts and such will be difficult so soil will have to do. elsamurai why shouldnt we use co2 is there a chance to fuck up the grow? it seems quite straight forward and we didnt read of any disadvantages

My concern would be heat with the HPS. What size light are you going to use?

we are not gonna do dwc for reasons explained in the previous post, what strains do you suggest for organic growing albert? we are going to use a 150w hps with some cfls added, but im not the one in charge of the lighting so will have to confirm with my mate. yes heat will be a big problem considering that a fridge has insulation in it, we still need to run a one week test to check the temps in the fridge. led is more costly and harder to get so hps seemed the next best thing. if examination shows that the heat is to much we might go with led.

the co2 is a more advanced method that requires high temps and more equipment to operate and moniter and that = $$$. the bag things don't really do much. you'll be surprised how much you can get off of 2 plant's with light and food and water. and you could always go on amazon or ebay to get all you need for hydro or quality nutes. but if you want to try co2, research it well. and check out the led section for affordable led panel's. some are real affordable and effective. hope that helps

Hey bro first grow is always fun! Have you thought much about a carbon filter? I'd also think a bit more about lighting bro if your having pc fans as your intake and outtake. Maybe use cfls only if your on a budget :Sharing One:
