Grow Room OS Hydro

Whoa, those got real close man. I start getting nervous if they get closer then 12 inches away from the light. Im all paranoid about getting burn from it. Glad to see your ladies looking lush, with no cal mag deficiency lol. I almost got my growing skills down enough to keep it away. Hopefully with my change of soil will do the trick. That, and I need to stay a little more on top of things. Like start adressing calmag, before it arises.

Cheers my friend.

PS...you ever hear from JackTheSPliffer?

Hi Neko, I am surprised that I have not had any light burn. I'm about to switch back to my 700W light so I may yet see some. I've been MIA on this grow and have to get back into the swing. I haven't heard from jackthespliffer. Hope your switch to new soil work out for you. It's always a little concerning when you make a change.

Hey, yea man. I guess you can put those LEDS a little closer then I thought. Definitely good to know lol. SHould increase my yields a bit now. Im confident this soil will do great. Its designed for cannabis, as well as I enjoyed their pot of gold soil. I just didnt amend it correctly. So, I ran into deficiencies. Im confident this soil + amendments will do me right. :woohoo1: Im excited.

and to being MIA. No worries, it happens time to time. Just glad to hear your getting back on top of things. :pass:

Hey, what nutrient line are you using again?

I'm using Technaflora's Recipe for Success. It's more than I need for hydro but it's what I know. I've wanted to try General Hydro's Go Box organic nutes but have never got around to it.

I am guessing I will be pushing the barrier on the closeness to the LED...having X2 300w(one old mars 180w, one researched china 165w) and 38" from floor to bottom of light 54" long and 16" wide. I have a light meter that I checked the lumens from the lights today. Wayyy stronger than my old lights(T8's lol) :)

At optimal 1" from flouros I was hitting 600 lumens....34" from the light I am at 500 lumens with the leds hanging on the ceiling of the cab. Around half way up 1000. 4" from the light was around 1800 possible 2000 lumens(hard to read the meter). Yes the old mars with its increased real draw was around 7-8% or so higher in its readings overall on the average.

jack- thanks again for this thread...knowing I can get pretty close is priceless in my situation.

Hi GreenSkell I don't think you will have any problems with those 3W LEDs in your space. I found that the Mars II 400 didn't burn the plants even as close as I had it this grow. I'm looking forward to switching back to the Mars II 700 next grow.

They are close. Tomorrow is day 62. I'm going to let them run through next week to see if the buds bulk up.
