New Grower Ok, ive been debating it, but heres my 1st grow journal.

yeah, thanks guys so much..god i felt like it was never gonna get leveled out. i mean im on day like friggin' 50! hahaha..anyhow, better late then never..ill tell ya one thing, my soil ph is gonna be PERFECT before every grow for the rest of my life..lol no more of this nonsense.

GBW, sometimes plants just aren't healthy and you have to ride it out. My AKR has had similar issues for weeks now, and my pH has been perfect. Some extra calmag and bloom nutes has helped a bit, but the fan leaves continue to slowly die off. My other plants have not had any of the issues, so I know it's not environmental. And AKR is known to be a temperamental strain anyway, & you can find lots of grow journals where people chased problems from beginning to end. I would suggest giving the lime some more time to work, since you can cause a calmag toxicity if you keep adding more and more. If you're around day 50 then you've got plenty of fan leaves to get you through to the end. Just remove them after they die off and let the plant flower as best it can. Not every plant & grow will be perfect with maximum yield, but that doesn't mean you won't get some primo meds out of it.

AndyBotwin--You bring up a good point concerning calmag toxicity. If you drop back by and have time could you tell us about the symptoms etc. I bet some of us (maybe me--recently) who have to use hard water-- inadvertently--do a number on our plants with cal/mag supplements. Thanks.

I tell ya what, everytime I've had an issue with cal /mag toxicity... its been very sudden... i usually have made mistakes with molasses... too much... and in 2 days the whole plant goes brown and dies.... its like sudden death.... it seems rare to have it in small toxicities.... cal/mag deficiencies are easy to spot... IMHO, easier to stay light on those and add again or folir feed if need be than to lose a plant from overdose...

you know, it def couldve been that..not only was I using water on the harder side, but ive been giving doses of cal mag occasionally, plus the lime ive been using to control my low ph'd soil..hmmm..anyways, i promised pics of the best/worse, so bear with me for a min while i upload. the one of the bad one is in reg light for a change, not under HPS, so its alot more clear. maybe itll help someone shed light on what im dealing with. as far as the good one, enjoy~shes been real good to me!

Ok, pic #1 is my 2nd best(or 2nd worse, however you wanna look at it) anyways, shes got a ton of leaves, but a bunch of them are bright orange, almost as if theyre covered in rust real bad. shes still got a TON of bud sites, and boy are they getting big!
Pic #2 is of my baby. She has been through it all, yet only a very few leaves have died due to natural causes, and others have spotted or yellowed slightly. Shes short real BUSHY, and the nugget on her are swelling so nice, with a few weeks left, i really do believe she is gonna be B.O.M. worthy. im not kiddin'!
I thought i had a pic of my worse, but she looks alot like the first pic, only with a third as many leaves, and likewise with buds. the poor thing..lol. Shes definetly gonna be the black sheep as far as yeild. oh well!
All in all i consider myself a very lucky guy. I think ive got the ph thing under control, and with all thats gone wrong, i mean come on~im at friggin' day 50 everyone! im almost there! god knows how badly i want/need this, so its gonna happen damnit!

Good attitude! You're almost there growbe, and those plants certainly are headed in the right direction.
It's smooth sailing for another two or three weeks and you'll be trimming them up before you know it.
