I appreciate the love brother.
I see more people moving to the 5gal pot, so I got the 5gal rain science grow bags on deck. I fell the Nympho can use the extra root space.
I should be due a tshirt or something for the plug @RainScience

I love the rain science bags. Current grow is using them, on deck seedlings are in air pots. Have to see how I like the airpots in comparison.

I should get some larger RS bags

i see monsters grown in the airpots. I been meaning to try them myself.
I’m trying the bigger bags to water less. I been researching different watering systems because hand watering is getting old.
The choice is out of floraflex, octopots, and autopots. I’m leaning toward the floraflex system. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

It seems like a lot of people really like the autopots for a more hands off approach. I do see some nute build up issues consistently crop up but, they still bang out wicked nice plants so.... eh... I like the idea of the floraflex top watering "halo" style plates but you need a pump in a reservoir and I think it would take quite a bit of trial and error to get the rates down correctly at the right time for automation.

I sort of feel like placing the floraflex halos with tubing and then bringing a bucket to water from, drop the pump in and turn it on, let it run until the right amount is in, then just pull the plug again. Semi hand watering style but without having to reach in or do much aside from initial setup.

I'm really getting too old for all the bending anymore. I have cut a bit of yoga mat to kneel on in front of the tent but the reach even with a small 1L can sometimes feels like a lot. I think I need a big enough tent to put a power adjustable desk in it and then lower the pots as the plants get taller. Save me a few weeks of reaching.

I’m leary about the autopots and the roots coming from the bottom of the rs.
So do you think 2 inches of perlite in the bottom will help with that?
I really like the octopots. I saw a guy had his set up with a shutoff to auto fill. But I still see a root problem.
I think my best option is to get some flood trays. Then use those 8 way bubblers that floraflex have. Then I can drain it into one of those bigger totes that I sit the plants on. They can hold 5 gallons. And I want have that much run off.
What so you guys think.

My only issue with Autopots has been its potential for root rot if using anything partially organic or dirty water. Can't speak for the floraflex but it looks very cool. I'm sure your plants would rock with any of those systems.

Roots grow out the sides and bottoms of the rs like nobodies business. Anytime I leave a plant in water, it going to happing. Even too much humidity makes it happen.
I don’t have a problem with root rot in the water, coco. In my opinion, coco doesn’t have a defense for bacteria. Good or bad, it will run rampant in coco. That’s one of the reasons I stopes using megacrop. It has too many organically in it for coco. That just my situation. I know people who gets away with it.
When I add trichs and mycs, the entire bottoms will be green. You have to realize, those bacteria are competing for nutrients and oxygen inside your pot. I notice when algae grows on the top of my pot, my plant will start to look like crap.
Here is the sangria cookies. Same age as the auto… so very ready. It’s really beautiful and rock hard. Started on 4/12, I dropped pollen on 6/4. It was ready last week, but I gave the seeds extra time.
I’m sitting in a room with it and cannot smell it. If that was a Nympho, it would smell as if someone is smoking in here. I’m being real with you guys.
Maybe another pheno will smell better. I read that it’s typical for cookie strains to have muted smell. In my experience, it takes a couple months cure before these strains aroma and taste to get right. The Nympho will fix that.
