Indoor Nympho - Cruella

Congrats on the light! how high do you have it above canopy?

Thanks for the comment. Your question stirred my interest on what PAR the girls are getting.

The HLG is about 12"-14"=30cm above and basically maxed to the top of the tent. Its dialed down a bunch and giving a PAR of about 1000 to the tops of the colas and about 700 to the lower/ middle buds. There is about 6"-8" above the light but I need that space to keep the electronics cool.

I have my old light about the same distance above the Jack Herer but it dosent have a dimmer switch. Come to find out shes getting a PAR of around 1500.... oops. I turned off the veg switch so she is getting straight red light over head and some side light from the HLG to give her a PAR of about 1100 at the top of the cola. Maybe this will help.

Interesting, I have mine at 25" and 100%.

My tent is only 30"(76cm) x30"x5' and this light is basically touching the edges of the tent. With the HLG, the old Blurple LED and UVB, the tent is pretty well covered and holds steady around 80F/27C. Im interested to see what happens with the red light only. From experience, I know the temp will def drop so ill have to watch that.

I have to say, this meter has done wonders to save my grow. The girls are looking good and doing their thing. I'm also adding a couple new solos to this tent. I joined in on the Seedstocker solo cup comp and ilk be growing some Wedding Glue. I just started the journal and it can be found at the link below.

Day 57 - Cruella
After a week or so of plain water, the EC and pH numbers are still slowly coming down. All sorts of leaf curl, spots, clawing and tacoing of leaves but she's still plugging along and flowering up.

Water in= EC 0.0, PPM 0, pH 6.3
Run off = EC 4.8, PPM 3400, pH 6.8

Day 63 - Jack Herer
Shes responding well to the adjustments in watering and feeding. I think we can get into a routine again. I have high hopes of her going the distance and producing some buds.

Water in= EC 0, PPM 0, pH 6.5
Run off = EC 1.2, PPM 900, pH 6.5

Looking good man. Congrats on your new light. Gotta love a great light.

And…so sorry for your loss of your dog. We do a lot of dog rescue and fostering in addition to the 4 rescues we have. It’s always heartbreaking.

Thanks. Ya, 15+ years is a good run. Still tough seeing reminders around the house but gotta keep loving these pups.

Im excited about the light. It has good coverage in my small tent. More light than i can fully coral in the short tent. We'll see how these buds turn out. Too bad i dont have another Tangie bean so I could see a side by side comparision.

Day 61 - Cruella
The EC and pH numbers are still pretty high despite the fresh water feedings to heavy runoff. Shes taking up about 2gal every 2-3 days and flowing up nicely. Hard to believe its already been 60+ days and also hard to believe she has another 2-4 weeks left to go. Ill probably start her on a light molasses and PK feed from here on out.

Water in= EC 0.0, PPM 0, pH 6.3
Run off = EC 3.6, PPM 2430, pH 6.8

Day 66 - Jack Herer
She's up and down. Looks like some green is starting to come back so i have high hopes of her finishing off. She has a decent frost forming and buds are stacking despite her struggles.

Water in= EC 1.3, PPM 970, pH 6.3
Run off = EC 1.1, PPM 790, pH 6.3

Day 66 - Cruella
Trying to finish off on the right foot. EC and ppm number have finally stabilized but pH numbers are still a bit high. I cant really tell if she is getting better or worse at this point. I fed her a bit last watering with pH6.3,EC1.5,ppm1100 and went with plain water this time. Based on the runoff numbers and they way she responded i think im going to feed her again next watering.

Water in= EC 0.0, PPM 0, pH 6.3
Run off = EC 1.1, PPM 780, pH 6.9

Day 71 - Jack Herer
Doing ok, some green coming backnto her leaves and shes budding and frosting up. I should probably take a peek at the trichs to see whats going on. Ill take a look tonight but Im guessing she has another week or so. Im going to bump up the EC and ppm for the rest of the week and start to tail it off before harvest.

Water in= EC 1.3, PPM 970, pH 6.3
Run off = EC 1.1, PPM 790, pH 6.3
