New Grower Noob budget first grow

Hi peeps, so here is an update on how we are getting on with this grow. So over the last 5 days I have been painstakingly spraying her water mixed with 0.25ml per litre of plant magic plus magne-cal + basically every other day spraying 150 - 200ml using my theory that yes I need to get nitrogen and other additional nutes into her but after nearly drowning her, I came up with the theory of slowly adding the feed to allow the bottom of the pot to continue to dry, seems to be working at the moment, and hoping it will continue to work!! So what for this upcoming week? My plan is to up the magne-cal + to 0.5ml per litre and add biobizz grow at 0.25ml per litre. There has been some steady growth since my last post (as you can see from the pics below) I have been tucking some of the bigger fan leafs under to expose the new growth more to the light. Questions I keep asking myself, do I top? Do I start LST? The answer I came up with, and maybe some more experienced growers can provide some input, is that considering this is my first indoor grow and I have nearly killed her once, it may be best just to leave training alone for this one and continue to tuck the fan leaves in and try to get to the finish line... Any thoughts on this???

Anyway, the pics below show her at day 20 and as you can see the lower fan leafs are damaged, hoping this is from the over-watering that occurred, but yet stand to be corrected. As always guys, any input or advice from you is most welcome and does help me to stay on the right track!!

Looks good to me mate :d5:....I wouldn't be to stressed over the damage on the bottom leaves....that happens all the time, a bit of nute splash or touching the soil somewhere along the way ......new growth looks good ....as for topping/training I think your onto something with it being your first indoor run and letting her go all natural...I'm an outdoor idiot though so I don't know much about any of that :smoking:....keep up the great work buddy your doing well:thumbsup:

Thanks pal, I'm finding it hard to understand the watering and feeding in compost lol, when you read the guys growing in Coco and using a hell of alot more water then I am, I scaled this down to the density of the compost and that it does not dry out as quick as Coco, but people on here say they are using litres of water per week, where I have used 1.5 litres (1/2 of that was the over-watering) in 20 days!! Makes you think your not watering enough and hence the over-watering, but as it's my first and mistakes are going to happen, I just want to get to the finish line!!! Plus it will save the earache of the MRS !!!!

I'm having my first crack at coco at the moment :coffee2:....it's a completely different animal to anything else I have grown in and nearly Impossible to over water ,so might not be the best to compare to..?...I water it nearly twice as much as my soil grows......I've never grown in straight compost either so I'm probably not the most helpful ......seems like a few noobies have a bit of trouble with watering and going by the weight of the pot seems to help....if you have any of the same soil and a spare pot the same size fill it up and leave it in the corner to dry out....this should give you something to judge what the weight of a dry pot feels like....then when your pot with the plant feels a similar weight it's time to water .....with nutes I increase them gradually until I see some clawing or slightly burned tips then back off just a touch. ..I hope this makes sense as I'm pretty medicated this evening :dizzy:.
