Nominate a Featured Journal

I nominate Jackson. The guys been rocking the grows lately.

On the list - Thanks 7.62 :d5:

I think they want the @ before the name so there is no confusion on which jackson etc if more than 1 with similar name?

The @ is certainly handy when i come to getting their threads and avatar images .. In this case, i know who Jackson is :D so no biggie, i store them all on list in the staff room.

What would be really handy is if people also nominated the journal they want showcased - otherwise i'll pick the most recently posted one.

Excellent idea Blue ! :hippy:

Thanks Smokey - I'm not sure it was my idea - something we've been talking about in the staffroom for a while, and i'm the one who worked out how to get CSS into the notice section so it doesn't look too scrappy!
I'm making the dream come true!

If we have any awesome computer science members who can help make it look better (with awesome css coding and better html skilzz) I'd definately be interested in talking with them!!! :D

Thanks for the kind offer NucksNugs, but i wouldn't wish it on anyone who wasn't already up to their eyeballs in css3. The basics (my skill lvl) are pretty easy and fun to get a grasp of and (sometimes) make things work as expected, but the latest high level stuff is ridiculous. Like you either speak chinese fluently or you don't.

I like to look at codrops for inspiration on what can be done "on screen" with css https://tympanus.net/codrops/ .. it's quite amazing what can be achieved (I've even tried adapting some of the demos on other websites, with semi success) .. but the reams of intricate code and the level of understanding of what it's all doing is where you can lose hours ... days ... frustrating hair pulling, face palming experiences!

Hahaha, alright!!! :D Well CSS is used to style HTML (as in "make stylish:" and cool)

Here's the basic go to resource for learning CSS (from start to advanced) https://www.w3schools.com/css/
They also have HTML resources (which should probably (definately) be undertood first before starting with CSS)

Good luck and have fun!! :D
