Indoor Nirvana Blue Mystic-ShortRyder

I believe that the buds from an early stressed plant are more potent ... nice looking plant.

Thanks Chester. Wait til you see her naked. It is 3 solid buds top to bottom except where the nodes were just missing on one side, there its a gap. This will top a z maybe close to 2. Frosty bud but none on the leaves beyond the bulk of the buds themselves. Probably 20% amber inside on the old growth. The new growth shows it starting to form quick on the tops of the sugars but the bottoms are loaded with mostly clear.
The dramatic spurts from the liquid crush lasts about 3 days, I'd dose it again now but anticipate leaving town for at least 2 weeks so will chop today. I'm glad I let her run instead of pulling her. Even if the buzz is a dud, I learned from this plant so its all good. My trip isn't certain yet.

Day 97

Nirvana Blue Mystic
Nirvana Blue Mystic

I chopped her last night. She is hanging intact. Wet weight 195g
This was my most interesting grow yet from day one and one
of my most fulfilling by nurturing a plant with so much going against her.

After examining the roots, it turns out that this was a true set of twins that,
had they not became taped together at the Cotyledons, damaging one, would have made two fine plants.
I tried to explain the situation in one composite picture coded to point out the following:
A. Is where I had to cut the two sprouts apart.
They were taped together by the inner husk

B. Is the false top. It turned out to be a fan leave
growing out of the damaged stem.

C. This is where the new top sprouted from the
smooth stem between the one node and fan.

Friggin' fascinating ... a true testament to a boy and his plant ... almost a shame to smoke it ... sorry to hear about your brother.

A boy at heart sometimes. It really was fun watching her make a comeback. It would have been nice to have had veg. lights. She may have been 3 feet taller.
Thanks for the kind words.

Germination day 1.

I am impressed with the beans from Seedsman. I damp toweled them this morning around 7am and both were popped and in the cups by 7pm.

The Grapefruit Punch and Auto Blueberry are new to me so I'm only running one of each until I know the sizes to expect.

I have heard that BB is nute sensitive so the only veg nutes will be the Soiltab with SuperThrive added then Rhizotonic added at 1/2 dose. Also cal/mag added at recommended maintenance dose from the start. I will be foliar feeding daily with Rhiz during the darkout hour..
Flowering will be with Flowertab and Big Bud after 2 weeks of flower for two weeks.

The pots will be 3 gallon Airpots.

Lights will be 2 brand new 125w Full Spectrum CFL's with 4 33w CFL's for side lights for veg at 23/1 cycle.
2 -125w 2700k red par CFL's and 4 40w similar CFL's on a 20/4 cycle for Flowering. A 15w UVB CFL on a 6/18 cycle.
I should have a LED array to replace the main CFL's by the end of April.

This will be the first time odor will be a real issue that I have no solution for yet. I will have by the time it matters.

Final on the Blue Mystic.

Yield wasn't too bad considering all the problems . The plant dried to 53g's and minus the large stems, she trimmed out at 46g's. This is a nice uplifting head buzz lasting minutes, then it comes in subtle waves of body stone for an hour or so.

Looks like some really nice smoke there man, nice job. :slap:

Thank you Dazed for both the kind words and the slap.

I've had good results with both Blue Mystic and ShortRyder over the last year and a half. Both are easy to grow and have a nice high while controling my tremors. Of the two I have to rate the ShortRyder the more potent, but not by much.

Day 15 for Grapefruit Punch. She was a slow starter but is now off and running. I started her in Nk starting mix. The only virgin mix in my area. I didn't, or couldn't read the fine printed ingredients to see vermiculite or I wouldn't have bought it. I swore to never let it in my house again but , Oh well. Too late. It's just not a good idea to let that stuff loose around fans. Note to self. Visit AFN organics to learn brewing some starter soil that safely feeds from day one.

The instructions for soiltabs recommend setting the tab anywhere from the pot bottom to half way up, then planting the seed directly in the pot. It has no warnings about danger to sprouts. With that in mind, I potted the cups after only 5 days. To cover my bet, since the tabs are water activated, I top water sparsely, which I do at this stage anyhow.
I already started lst with the skewers holding her open for 2 hours per spot per day and the branching is already starting with vigor.

My single Blueberry plan died with the first seed after it wormed its way right out of the soil and was laying root shriveled and dead on the surface the next morning. This is the second time this has happened and it was only luck that I caught the first in time. So I started 2 more and will just deal with the crowd.

The two sprouted 3 days apart and will be designated BB1 and BB2 in the order that they sprouted.
BB1. Day 9
