thanx kushnft !
the solid was bad thinking about it now ! ive had enough pot burns in tracksuit bottoms ect to remember lol , the resin is all me an old friends knew of for a long time , its nice to have made something happen an not put money in others pockets anymore .
i have been using a mars 96 since march an have been impressed so far compared to my old lighting source . before i got my led lights it was an all t5 grow an soon as i switched led on plants i seen a difference almost immediatley , they cook up the flowers real nice with frostyness but im like you i havnt tried hps for comparison but i defo notice a difference between the t5's an led .
i tryed siliconing channels into tray to try an act like nutriculture tray does but the water woudnt flow through correctly so just gone back with the cubes sitting on plastic above the flow .
i seen your red poison grow kush ! what a monster that is wow ! i have done a few green poison auto grows an have a little bit left thats been my final night toke for while now . i like the look of the red poison!

Aye bud, definately nice to not be putting money into the wrong pockets any more.

I much prefer puttng money into the Canna industry, particularly UK based companies as the more they are worth the more likely it is to become legal whereas the more the black market is worth the more reason there is to continue prohibition. Or summat like that anyway.....the tax man gets a cut when I buy stuff to grow my own, or at least I hope he does!

Sounds like your T5 and LED experience mirrors my CFL and HPS experience although I didn't even finish a grow on CFL - veg was going so slow I went and got a 600W dual spectrum HPS before switching to flower. Recently I just paid £65 for another 600W but would like to go LED if I can find ones that can keep up with HPS.

Have you tried Russian Rocket Fuel? When I grew that they ended up even more crammed in than you have your plants as there were 4 in a GT205 and they still produced giant buds....and it was a nice smoke but the growroom smell was truly epic:smoking:

interesting point !
agreed ! kushnft, the tax man gets his share an then that money then gets pumped back into public services/ society rather than somes pocket .
so far ive experienced the T5's grow plants taller than the leds , maybe its to do with the strictley veg spectrum they put out ? when using led the plants hug there leaves up towards the light like there truely sunbathing an have a more stocky look to them .

mate ! you done well fitting 4 in a 205 ! that must have been a task hey lol ! , i do love the nutriculture nft,s systems , i did have 2 gt424 in the area but they would only fit in side on , and couldnt get to the inner res easy , so ended up the way i have it now for easyer to get to ph's. ,
i have not yet attempted the russian rocket fuel , what do would you say they were a more indica toke wise or sativas ?

Good to know bud.....haven't tried messing with spectrums for growth yet

Lol pretty much sums up my RRF grow but it was my first autos....I'd seen some soil autos and didn't realise how different NFT would be. Toke wise it was a happy high that made me want to get silly with the Mrs:eyebrows:

Do you tie the screen to something or do your plants stay upright by themselves?

hi there thanx kush !
to what ive read about the leds is they put out all 5 spectrums the sun produces where as hps only put out 2 out the 5( green and white) ,thats what ive read anyways ? the plants certainly look like they adore the pinky blue colour in flower , what im not so sure about is the full spectrum is any better used to veg plants with than t5 / cfl ?

The net !, i used to tie the net down but just the weight of the net by itself ways them most of the time . if the tops keep springing back up next day i way down or tie too with a fishing weight or 2 attached to it . the net i got of ebay here bargain ! : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PLANT-SUP...001782?hash=item567d566676:g:7O0AAOSwdpxUYlhE that a size net was loads for what i needed an i cut the net in to 4 pieces for each individual nft . works a treat !
lol thanx for the suggestion for the RRF ! i must get a few beans of them to try ! i found the big gun grow was a nice &stealthy like was discribed , hardly any smell to them till you went up close then a loverley lime scent came about .

picture of the 00 seeds california kush auto that was looking unwell yesterday has resurrected an back on its way :) yay ! personaly i think the seedling yesterday had been getting eaten by something ? ,i have sprayed around with a neem oil concoction and it has helped keeping the nastys away !
for a reason suspect root riot cubes already have bugs/ eggs in them which is not suprizing with the organic elements or bug attractants in them ! , its always instant with the bugs most times , one day i start a seedling then the next there are little things crawling up down and into root cavity an eating away ?? but the thing is they work good to get the first root to the second bigger cube. so the use of deterents are a must where any organics are used .

Different lights produce varying amounts of various wavelengths across the visible spectrum rather and than there just being 5 wavelengths there are hundreds but yes, HPS is only strong in 1 or 2 areas where LED can be strong in whatever wavelengths the panel designer wants. As a photographer it's handy to know about that stuff....and stuff like the inverse square law of point source radiation (light is radiation!) which basically says a big light won't penetrate as far as a small light which is handy to know about when using flash but also helps understand grow lights and how to use them.

I think you are right about the root riot beasties though......or it could have just been a coincidence with a change in the weather getting warmer here but when I started using root riot I noticed a fair few tiny moths and some fungus gnats. Soon after that I noticed a few spiders kicking about and then soon after that not so many wee flying things. Spiders for the win lol:smoking:

yes , i see what your saying about smaller lights ! like the small infra-red led pens you can get , they can beam long distance as we all know an in turn penetrate further , agreed !
it makes sense having a focused beam compared to a light source spreading light in every direction an wasted .

i like spiders ! , i never kill a spider if i see one ( bad luck ) i always put them out window ! yes great natural critter exterminators ! ,
this year i have a mainstay of small black spiders in grow area that look quite rare tbh , they have made homes around out of sight and everytime i finish a grow they have made webs just above the roots inside the tray .( ile get a pic of them when i can )
i also have these little flys in room always hovering about that also have an interest inside the tray that lay larvae in the root/flow just before where the flow goes back in to resivour .
where all these organisms magicly appear from ? ide like to know lol:passit:
