Newman’s Own Organics

Day 61
Big Tent was only holding at 66f so I added my autoCOB which brought it up to 70f running 24/0. I may add my vs1000 which is a 100w panel light just for added heat, sure the ladies wouldn’t mind the extra light. I love how the autoCOB fits between the bars on the FCe3000, with the Angelina reflector on the autoCOB it makes sure no light falls onto the hardware of either light.

California snow gummies
Recently Fastbuds California snow got harvested, it yielded 3 oz of what I would classify as regs(but better because it’s organic homegrown). And 1 oz of larfy popcorn. My wife wants to only eat her cannabis so I have set off to learn the art of gummy. I decarbed 7g of larf in an instant pot then infused into refined coconut oil. Then followed the Emily Kyle recipe for the gummies. They need a sugar/citric coating IMO but they are still drying. We reserved a mold trays worth in the fridge too as an alternative storage approach.

39x39 tent started, Bruce Banner germinating
I would like to thank @Marshydro for hosting a giveaway in which I won a 39”x39” tent. Perfect fit for my Mars Hydro FCe3000! Finally got around to setting the tent up properly with insulation foam underneath leveled and supported by cement board on my gravel basement floor

Excited to start this adventure with an awesome new tent and set up the way I wished I had with previous grows.
The plan for this grow is to follow Coast of Maine’s autoflower schedule and use their soils and additives exclusively. Their recommendations are to use 15g of their Stonington blend soil to feed a plant seed to harvest(with a few optional top dressings of dry amendments). I used about 1 3/4 bags and filled them into a 20g fabric pot. We will be growing a seed stockers Bruce banner as it states it’s an easy plant and gets XL harvests. I used CoM sprout island blend to start the seedling in and will transplant as soon as I dare right into its final pot.

I had four seed to choose from and I chose the largest one with the most coloration

A seedling heat mat was placed on top of the 20g pot, this should preheat the pot for the eventual transfer as the basement is a chilly 55. Extra seedling tray is my California wonder peppers for my garden this year

Still need to organize the wires but this gives you an idea of setup, the light driver is mounted up on the ceiling, left it in the tent for the added heat and so I could access the controls but up so it’s safe from wetness

Nice home for these girls

Day 1 SS Bruce Banner
As the seed was germinating I made the decision to put the seed directly into the final pot. Looks pretty silly. Need to get a riser rigged up today for the pot, maybe check the local hydro store for a mega sized drip pan. 20g pot almost needs a baby pool

Day 3 Bruce Banner
Smooth sailing, first true leaves are bigger than the cotyledons and second set just visible. Tent conditions are on point hoping to ensure this seedling’s second set of leafs are the same or bigger than its first set by day 10
