Posted this on another one of my threads but this is where I will review this grow in the future so am duplicating, plus hours later photos
1/2c SBPF added then watered in with ~1/2g
Increased light intensity yesterday with the aid of the Photone app. FCe3000 now at 100% intensity with a height of 17”.
The PPFD at the canopy is 691 or 63.6 DLI. I know the PPFD is within acceptable range but the DLI is a bit overkill with my 24/0 but I need the heat. The intensity at this stage is also important IMO as the lower branch nodes now get 200ppfd as penetration is better through the upper canopy. I haven’t been running my exhaust system either to limit heat loss, but today it has that dank smell similar to a greenhouse, so I turned venting on to low hopefully that lowers the 80% humidity without too much heat loss
Popped a new bean yesterday and it had a visible tail today
so I direct planted into a custom 6g tall. I took 2x 3g fabric pots and cut open the bottom of one
slid it into the other one
and sewed them together.
The depth is near that of my 20g pot so really this is looking at how depth changes growth. The seed was a freebie from a Linda seeds order, never heard of Blimburn so hopefully it turns out to be high test. Soil is reamended Stonington Blend with Stonington blend plant food, fishbone meal, and Azomite. Hopefully it’s not to hot I did add a solo cup of seedling starter to the top center of the pot so the initial root contact will be with fresh soil.
Did some leaf tucking. Turned off supplemental heat two days ago and tent sits between 75-78f. Humidity is at 80%, with venting on it drops to 50% so I think shutting it off is better for VPD? Bruce is showing nice branching and has a nice stretch going on even before preflower. Hoping to fill the tent so we need a good stretch
Leaf discoloration continues with brown spots advancing onto the aging fans. Perhaps going to abandon RO only as it clearly is the cause and the plant is still early enough and showing enough vigor to rebound. Reasonable right? This plant continues to impress me with its rapid growth despite apparent issues. Also I don’t have PH up and I tested every additive I have on hand yesterday and they lower the PH of my water. What I don’t get is I have been mixing up nutrients for my solo and when I checked their Ph yesterday it was 4.9 but that plant is 80+ days old how is it alive?
