Photography New to Autoflowers

Trying out coco coir with organic nutes. I wasn’t sure, at all, how it would go.
A few hiccups aside, it worked.
I just added coco mixed with hydroton, with an equal amount of worm castings. Then I amended with Dr Earth. In a five gallon fabric pot I add 6 tablespoons of the General Purpose formula, with 4 tablespoons of the Bloom.
Every watering, I added a half tsp of gypsum to one gallon of filtered water.
Every third watering ( watering every day) I added a half dose of fish emulsion per gallon of water.
Once per week I’ll freshen up to top layer with fresh worm castings.
Basically, I winged it.
But with some more experience, I think that this may yield some interesting results.
The shorter gal is Lemon Cherry Cookies from FastBuds. And the taller gal is Double Grape x Toof Decay from Mephisto.
These were freebies and I can’t help but try something a lil sus with them.
Just for s and g’s, I decided NOT to ph the water. The next run I will.
No apparent issues from not ph’ing, but you do have to keep an eye out for def’s.
Don’t wait longer than three weeks to re amend. I think, maybe, that coco coir needs a little more feeding than soil does.
But then again, it’s all conjecture at this point.
The more I think about it.. the only real difference in the “ soil” mix I use, is you’re basically just swapping peat moss for coco.
Being an old hydro guy, this is all new to me. But I’m finding it all pretty fascinating.

Oh! The shorter gal is at 6 weeks and the other gal ( taller one) is just at five weeks.

My big girl. Not an auto. This is Green Mountain Cheddar. From a local breeder.
She’s in a 30 gallon pot ( Coots Mix)
I’ve grown this strain two other times and she is a performer.
Another week or so of veg.

Jacob’s Remedy, at least the two I’m growing, is a very vigorous cultivar. These two are similar in calyx and leaf formation. The obvious difference is, one is leggy, and one is squat. Both at six weeks.

My autoflower tent is my new favorite way to wind down.
I grew autos back in the early 2000’s.Clearly, since then, they’ve come a very long way.
These are Aunt Ginny’s Elixr.
Except for the stubby one. That is a double grape strawberry.Mephisto genetics.
All grown in soil organically in no till 15 gallon smart pots.
Welcome to AFN and happy growing!

Jacob’s Remedy. Just at week seven. It’s looking like another 3 plus weeks to harvest. Mephisto is really putting in some work. Very sweet aroma. Almost candy like.
