I never had a problem with salts, but I was in soil. I used both top and bottom watering at every watering. But coco dries out much faster.I'll use rainscience for the coco.....I appreciate it....
Thanks I appreciate your help.....I'll figure it out with yalls help.....like always...you guys never let anyone down..I never had a problem with salts, but I was in soil. I used both top and bottom watering at every watering. But coco dries out much faster.
@Lil Dab
Using his set up with bottom watering, in coco, how much would you fertigate and do you fertigate with the same level of fertilizer in your solution as normal?
Also, when you fertigate, can the first run off ppm check kinda direct you on how often you need to fertiate more often and at what point do see where you need to fertigate more often?
I assume you fertigate until the run off reads close to your fertigating ppm. correct?
I'm asking for future referance and it might help InkAddict$.

No! That was a good post man! I learned some more!That all depends if I was hand fertigating with no irrigation system I would be fine fertigating 1-2 times a day to 20% runoff every time… my irrigation system is set to feed the solo’s every two hours.. where as the 3 gallon pots I am only doing it every 4 hrs… yes you are correct once you reached 20% ish( I’m not precise with this just get plenty of runoff) then take your EC reading if it’s low you can either feed high EC up to 650 for auto’s or fertigate more often to bring the EC up.. if it’s too high then your either feeding to much or not fertigating enough volume.. I tend to overwater that’s why I grow in coco so I generally never see a high EC.. Plus I run MOG’s schedule which is pretty dialed not much excess nutes..
So as far as amounts go I normally grow in 2 or 3 gallon pots when there young it normally doesn’t take more then a liter to get runoff.. the thing with coco is you technically don’t want it to take more 20% of the whole volume to get runoff desired.. for me it generally doesn’t take more then a half gallon to get >20% runoff
Coco for cannabis is the best place to start for learning the basics of fertigating
For what @InkAddict$ wants to do I would hand fertigate till the leaves reach the edge of the pot then can switch to bottom feeding.. But I would do a weekly flush with 50-60% nute strength this doesn’t need to be a literal flush(3x the pot size) but just making sure the whole pot gets plenty of runoff to flush salts out
Holy crap that’s a big post for me and pretty sure I missed some stuff
