New grower advise

I grow in promix hp exclusively and I feed every watering to the end. I'm on a 24 hr light schedule also. I usually don't start feeding til around day 10-12.
I keep my ph at 6.8 with zero issues.

your 4in with a carbon filter may not be adequate enough to keep negative pressure. I would suggest getting a 6in for exhaust and 4in input.

I’m running 20/4 light schedule. Notice any difference with autos giving them any down time?

I don't know anything about Flora Nova, but as long as your grow shop knows that it is good for hydroponics, you should be good. If you are interested, you can likely get a free 500g sample of Megacrop if you buy a small bag of CalMag Pro which you may need anyway, and the freebie should cover you for a grow or two. If you like MC, you can buy more, if not, the Cal Mag Pro will not go to waste, and the MC was free.

As to the watering regime, I would apply nutes every time, but keep your nutes thin initially and increase gradually as your plants respond. I have been told that Promix HP has a small amount of nutes in it for initial growth, so unlike coco you do not need to feed right away. Others on here use Promix for inside grows, so you may get more relevant info. from them. I apologize that I can't recall exactly who the Promix gurus are or I would tag them for you. I have only used promix in sip containers outdoors, and it worked a treat. You still need to keep on top of pH with promix, so get yourself a meter if you don't have one. At minimum, get the ph strips or drops which should be available at your local shop. You might find an EC/PPM meter handy for mixing nutes consistently and testing runoff if you run into issues later.

Good luck with your grow, and don't hesitate to ask for help or advice. :goodluck:
I've been growing in promix for the last several years. I add nutes every time, and done correctly, you do not get salt buildup in the medium. The key is to use low ppm, and make sure about 10% of what goes in the top comes out the bottom. This washes away any excess that is still in there from the last feeding. I precharge the promix at about 350 ppm and then use the plant response as a guide for how much ppm to feed each time. I use this for guidelines, but really just read the plant to decide how much: Seedling 300-600 ppm, Stretch 600-900 ppm, Bloom 900-1200. These are ranges ,little old school autos take less, big XL super autos take the high end. Did you add anything to the promix to adjust pH? I use aluminum sulfate, about 2 teaspoons in a 5 gallon pot to get my promix pH to about 6.8. All my feeds go in at 6.3. pH will swing from 6.3 right after feeding, back up to 6.8 as she dries out. This put every element into the available pH range at one time or another. Hope this helps, and good luck. Tag me anytime if I can be of help. Merry Xmas.

Hey thanks for the info! I did not add anything to the Promix. Waiting in my ph pen to come in the mail but I have been using 3ml/L of cal mag each watering and .5ml/L of GH - flora nova grow.

I use good ol Canadian well water and no issues with ph swing at all. I use cal/mag pro because of the led wattage thats it. MC and BE from greenleaf nutrients. lowest cost nutes on the planet. pennies per feed.

I thought you were the promix devotee @Machamillion , tried to tag you yesterday, but I spelled your tag wrong so it didn't work.

This works good in winter too

You said you run 24hour light schedule with auto flowers does it effect them if I switched from 20/4 to 24hrs? Or should I just stick with what I started ?
