Indoor DWC w/ Bestva 1000w (180 draw) 2 switches
3ft x 1/1.5/1ft for maybe 4 sq ft, 10 gallon res to 1 inch under 2 6" pots
Scrogged
Mephisto Creme de la Chem and 3 Bears OG autos
Top fed first 2 weeks, 2 large air stones
General Hydro Flora set nutes
Ascorbic acid for chloramines in tap water (66 PPM water)
Rapid Rooters, expanded clay
Active ventilation w/ 6" fans and a 6" fan for circulation
Activated carbon in a nylon stocking at exhaust vent
Dehumidified basement around 45%-50%

Just placed seeds for germination an hour ago. Wanted to do start-to-finish in DWC rig but opted for better controls germinating separately and Rooters will go into pots w/o much disturbance. Gonna go 10% recommended nutes first week of feeding, 20% second week. Probably using the recipe at Sensi site for this particular nute. Probably use both lights start-to-finish, beginning at least 30"-36" distance from first leaves. Scrog set at 9" from pots, res is slightly elevated for circulation. Definitely have everything light-proof, probably going 18/6 and 12/12. Only thing to check is whether the air pump/stones will work best w/ 3/16" vs 1/4" tube/hose. Smaller might be better for higher air pressure/smaller bubbles?

Why are you thinking of 12/12 for an autoflower? 12/12 will most likely be a debilitated grow. I've still got some 3 Bears OG and quite enjoy it. Lots o' luck.

Well that's sumthin I haven't come across, and wouldn't have thought twice about. Strange, but I think I'm havin a Twilight Zone moment. Or like when you put minute rice in a microwave an go back in time.

So yeah, no real light time if veg stage is only 2 weeks, and maybe no need to induce flowering with 12/12 cuz of genetics...do you ever cut back the light w/ autos? Looks like 20/4 for entire cycle, or even 24. I'll be looking out for this. The RQS site says why. Saved me from a humongous catastrophe. And THIS is why I decided to go ahead and journal. Cheers mate.

You don't need to induce flowering with auto flowers. They do that all on their own. So..no need to adjust light cycle. 20/4 is fine...some run 24/0 with no issues.

Thanks Frank, Autowonders. Dunno why I skipped this day in class. And it seems that the veg. growth is controlled primarily by nutes thru varying stages. Lookin forward to learning the plant and listening to it. Peace

they like light nutes in the beginning, and you can slowly increase from there. Watch out for signs of nitrogen toxicity such as leaf clawing and the tips of leaves burning. If you experience those, back off a bit. Good luck, and happy growing:pass:feel free to tag me if you have questions (put @ before user name to tag).

Here are some pics and best attempt at stealth. Stacked boxes are part of it and provide the vent ducts. Just tryin to make the most of an old file shelf on a budget. The bowed sides are for much needed space and are just 2 shelves with edges pried over and hammered flat, then mounted sideways so as to have the holes 9" above pots for ScrOG weaving.

IMA DAD. 48-60 hours in, with last 24 outside vw/ 84-74 deg temps and higher humidity. Think that helped. No pre-soak. Trimmed summa the top off the Rapid Rooters as the hole seemed deep and re-covered lightly. Also had it under a baggie. Yay to Mephisto and to HDSC. Man, this lil bit o' waitin had me on needles, guess cuz I've been full-on plannin and buildin for 3 weeks. Now I can keep listenin. Even these 2-3 days have been good for my patience and openness.
