Indoor Neon's Summer Grow Log

For some growing is instinctive ... for others not so much ... but all can learn ... autos can be challenging ... good luck w/ finishing this grow and feel free to ask questions before starting the next one ... lot of folks here anxious to help ...

I wish I woulda just asked for help in the first place. Sigggh hah btw your grow is looking beyond stellar. I could definitely take a few pages outta your book!:worship:

That's the way I feel about it. I'd be too embarrassed to update my ugly plant grow, but I figure that what I've learned so far makes it worth it. Besides, just think how much better our next grow will be!
Dude yes lol I almost abandoned ship on this one but I know the next one is going to be much much healthier. I'm really looking forward to having a sweet little Autumn grow to retry my current strains and shoot for better results!

We ought to have a thread here for grow disasters and not just first time growers either .... I'll bet everybody has a few less than stellar pics they could share ... I've had a few grows where the camera never came out but they smoked when they were lit and that was all that mattered ... Most new growers don't start asking questions until the seed is planted .... since pot and soil/medium are two of the most important decisions, after planting is a little late ... I often suggest that a new grower find a more experienced grower w/ similar space and equipment and copy them ... For me, half the fun of growing is getting involved in other peoples' grows ... looking forward to your next grow ...
:toke:

Good luck neo, I think you'll find with every grow from here on out there's gonna be challenges.... But if you keep finding and fixing the problem or problems next time they arise you see it alot quicker and can react and over one it. Keep up the good work and you will be rewarded in the end

So this is a look of what I've got going on here....During the second week of veg growth I noticed all three of my plants stopped growing and started becoming yellow. By the time I ordered a ph kit and nutes, they had become completely yellow and were beginning to die. It didn't help at all that the temperature pretty high too. I found out the ph of my soil was DIRE, and the ph of my tap water was also awful. .
That's very similar to my story except that I didn't have the excuse of not being able to test the pH. I was testing the water, but I didn't realize my soil was so acidic to begin with. Now I have three plants that should be 18 to 24 inches tall but are only 10 inches tall, and my yield is going to be a hell of a lot less than it should be. But you know what? I'm gonna smoke it anyway! I'm also looking forward to a much more productive fall grow. I know what I did wrong, and I know how to fix it for next time, so I figure I'm doing okay. I would have loved to be one of those people that has the perfect grow first time out, but even more, I DON'T want to be one of those people who give up and sell their equipment after one or two bad grows!

There is a lot to be said for AN's PH Perfect .... I used it before I got my ph tester figured out ... :vibe:

That's exactly how I feel about it. Regardless, my meager nugs are treasures to me. They are getting toasted and I'm so happy to have them. You are right, we can't ever give up, because we will only improve if we continue! The true silver lining is that everything I get off these plants will be 1000 times better than ANYTHING I could buy off my streets. I was sitting in my attic last night staring and sniffing at them and just couldn't help feel so blissfully excited. I'm taking down my Dark Devil in five days and I'm glad I didn't wig out and give up!

That is something I am highly considering for my next go. This grow was a bit on the cheap side, but I've figured out that investing a bit more in the quality of the products I choose will give me much better results than skimping in the most crucial stages. I'm going to use a much bigger bucket this time, too. I thought my pots were 3 gal, but they were only 1.5 gals :X sooooo much room to improve, or should I say, "grow" heh heh heh

So true. The results and peace of mind of being able to self-sustain is every bit worth the challenges that spring up along the way, but like you said next time I'll be better prepared and it can only get better from here!

Ohhhh that would be such a beneficial thread, for many reasons. I've got a hilarious picture from two summers ago when I topped one of my plants (way too early) that remained 4 inches tall... The two headed girl flowered/finished in two weeks and it was a legit shrimp. I've never seen any shit like it before.:crying:
I think those were definitely my fatal flaws straight from the beginning....my soil and pot. believe it or not ive lurked around many forums for awhile before getting involved and I agree, it is very fun to see what others are doing, from all over the world no less. It's really kind of mind blowing. It feels great to be apart of this....autoflower revolution! :cooldance::cheers:
