Grow Mediums Need4Weed's 1st Auto-Pots Grow with 2X CDLC, Sour Crack & Psychofruit

Update day 31
I've been having a couple issues that turned into an ordeal earlier. I've been noticing that the Psychofruit was not looking happy. Droopy leaves all over and yellowing of the lower leaves looks like sure signs of over watering to me. (Note: You can even see droopy leaves in the last update.) So I took her out of the autopot tray and removed the lower leaves and she's still a bit droopy, but not sure what else to do at this point. So I'm going to wait it out a couple days and see if she perks up, (unless anyone has a better ideal). So a few hours ago I go back to check on the girls and take some pics so I can do an update .... and ... low and behold there's a big puddle of nutrient solution in the floor. For some reason the CDLC#1 pot is dripping from where the hose goes into the tray. I decide to take the tray out of the system and move the Sour Crack and the CDLC#2 pots one spot to the left. That way I can put the Psychofruit right in front of the door for easier access. Of course I broke one of the T fittings trying to remove the hose, ... ... but since they are now all running off a 4 way connector I can get by for now. I'm also noticing some end of leave discoloration on the CDLC#2 and I fear she's going to water log too. As a precaution, I turned the air pump all the way to max and I'm also running Sensizym in the res as I neglected to order Hydorguard. PH is at 5.7 and PPMs are 575. I also did the lst thingy, (except for Psychofruit), so now the girls are a little more spread out. Here's some pics I took a little while ago and thanks for stopping by! :pass:

Just a thought...I agree I would let them dry out for a day or so...I have experienced this before...it was from the silicone valves not being placed correctly which allowed the tray to be flooded at a high level all the time. My experience is that the tray needs to go through a wet and dry cycle. So, my suggestion is to check those silicone valves are placed correctly. You can use a turkey baster to suck the nutrients out and see the response of the valves as the pot sits in the tray and make sure it is not filling up right away. I hope this explanation is clear.
This could possibly be the solution to your problem. Its rather quick to test and may solve your problem.

In my experience so far, properly functioning autovalves are unlikely to over water. As @idiopathic neuropathy suggests, you should double check the function of your valves. You could have a look at my blurb on troubleshooting the valve here:

Good luck with it. :pighug:

Thanks for the tip and I'll be sure to pick up a turkey baster tomorrow while I'm at the store.
I may have discovered my error. While cleaning out the autopot tray, I noticed the valve assembly was barely on the spike thingy that holds it. I'm guessing I didn't push it down well enough to seat it as I was worried it might break if I pushed too hard. I'm going to check and make sure they are all in the correct position shortly. Btw, I just gave the Psychofruit a good watering/feeding and it's the first she's had in a couple days, (since removing her from the autopot system). Leaves were still droopy right afterwards, but hopefully she will perk back up! :pass:

Thanks for the link @Olderfart and for writing up such a fine guide! :d5: I read the post, but haven't watched the video yet. Like I said above, I think I didn't have the valve assembly in the correct position. So for right now, I'm just trying to make the plant happy again. :pass:

Update day 37
Things have been going well and the girls are doing pretty good! The Psychofruit is throwing hairs, but I was unsuccessful trying to hook her back up the the res, (her leaves got droopy again). So it's hand watering from here to finish. The Sour Crack is also in preflower and doing well. CDLC#1 is going to be a big girl and she is thriving along in veg! CDLC#2 still has the leaf discoloration, but she hasn't gotten any worse. I plan on giving her a good flushing later today. Speaking of which, I'm really worried for the girls because I'm afraid we will lose power soon. I'm under an ice storm warning and in the past we've been 2 weeks without power, (that was back in the 90s). I'm thinking positive thoughts and hoping for the best! :karmacloud::pass:

Thanks for the well wishes @Wile e Peyote :pighug: I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but there's already a coating of ice everywhere, (but not too thick ... so far). :pass:

Wow, 2 weeks without electricity... i panic when it goes out for day. Wish you the best.

By the way, you pH is below 6.0 right? Just curious.

Over 50,000 homes without power in my state, but as of right now, (crossing fingers), it looks like the worse is over and I still have power. :vibe: Btw, I just happened to have checked the ph 15 mins ago and it was 5.9. :pass:

Update day 45
Well the girls have survived 2 winter storms and my lack of grower's skill. :yoinks: However, all of them are showing leaf discoloration on the edges with Sour Crack and Psychofruit affected the most. I'm not going to worry about it, unless anyone thinks I should? Still waiting for CDLC#2 to start pre-flowering, as she is 3 - 4 days younger than her sister. Speaking of which, I had to move CDLC#1 from the old grow shower to the opposite end of the grow space. She was surely going to outgrow the spot and now she's getting a little more side lighting. Here's some pics and thanks for stopping by! :pass:
