Grow Mediums Need4Weed's 1st Auto-Pots Grow with 2X CDLC, Sour Crack & Psychofruit

Update day 51
I'm thinking my PPMs have been too high, (750), and that maybe why all the girls have dying leaves. I mixed in 3 gallons of distilled water to the res, (with added Cal/mag+, Hydro Guard and Drip Clean), and that got the PPMs down to 600. PH is currently at 6.0, so I hope that will improve the situation. I've also defoliated all the girls and added stakes for CDLC#1. CDLC#2 is finally starting to get fuzzy and show her private parts. :dancer: Psychofruit is getting her smell on with the sweet scent of blueberries.

Btw, I also flushed the girls with Floral Kleen, but I didn't mix it in the res. I think I read somewhere that you shouldn't flush autopots by hand. Hopefully, they will survive! Here's some pics! :pass:

Nice looking babes----I have never had a problem top flushing which I have done 3 different grows when I get that fussy strain.
Keep up the great work....gotta keep girls happy-at least that's what my wife tells me.:pass:

I assume your in coco? get a runoff PH and ppm/ec. I'd say your both overfed and PH is off in the medium.

Good to know and thanks for the kind words, but I really feel like I should have done better. :pass:

Thanks for the insight @pop22 I did check the runoff PH and it was 5.8, but I didn't think to get a PPM. :pass:

Update day 70
I didn't realize it had been so long since my last update. I'm just not excited about this grow. Not much has changed, as all the girls still have dying leaves. Although, CDLC#2 looks more like a magnesium deficiency to me. I've about given up trying to figure out what the problem is. I purchased a new ph tester, but the old one seems ok, (compared to the new one). I bought a ir temperature gun to make sure the leaves weren't being cooked, but only tested 1 degree over ambient temperatures. I even bought some different coco-perlite mix, (Cultivation Nation by Fox Farm), because I've never used the coco I used for this run. Hell! I've even wondered if my air pump was blowing too much oxygen to the routes. Instead I've decided to just not worry about it, even tho the buds on the Sour Crack look like something I grew my first grow. :haha: Anyways, I'm getting ready to start flushing as both the Psychofruit and Sour Crack are both showing some amber trichs. Still a ways to go on the others. Here's some pics and thanks for stopping by!

Well damn dude, looks like I missed the whole feckin grow! Guess I didn't get a tag. So how are you liking the autopots? Are you using the reg or xl pots?

Sorry about the lack of tags and thanks for the "like" bomb! :d5: I'm using the regular size pots and I really like the ease of not having to feed everyday, but just not happy with the results. I harvested the Psychofruit and Sour Crack a week ago and got maybe an ounce off of each plant of smokable bud. Since they looked over watered most of the grow, I'm going to replace the foam thingys that supply oxygen to the root zone with regular air stones like these.

Wenshall 1.6" Small Round Air Stones for Aquariums Oxygen Diffuser Fish Tank Air Bubbler for Hydroponics Aquariums Oxygen Stone 4/8pcs (4pcs, Grey)

Hopefully, it will make a difference on the next grow. I also used coco that I was unfamiliar with, so I got some Fox Farm Cultivation Nation to use. I just noticed it's been a couple weeks since I last updated and I got some harvest pictures to post. So look for an update later this evening. :pass:

Update day 85
I harvested the Psychofruit and Sour Crack a week ago. Not sure on the weight, but I'm guessing about an ounce of smokable bud from each plant. Not nearly as much as I'm used too, but hoping it's just a learning curve and I'll do better next time. I also used my new Ibowl trimmer for the first time and it really saved trimming time on everything but the main buds, (which were hand trimmed and dried in cardboard boxes). Both Creme da la Chems are getting real close! I'm going to start a 3 day water flush tomorrow for CDLC #1 as tricomes are very milky with plenty of amber, (just the way I like it!). I have only been feeding 1 gram per gallon of the Part 2 MegaCrop formula for the last week. Bud size is not looking too bad on her either. The other CDLC is just now getting milky trichs, so her flush will start this weekend, (after CDLC#1 is harvested). Here's some pics, but I got the harvested plants mixed up so no labels for them. Thanks for dropping by! :pass:

Update day 91
I harvested CDLC#1 this past Sunday, (day 89). Everything except the last 6 inches of each top was put in the new bowl trimmer and then sealed in a cardboard box. I left the top buds on the stalks and hung the whole thing to dry. I've read that buds allowed to dry on the stalk have better smell after curing. CDLC#2 is on her flush and I expect to chop her this weekend. So I have 3 autopots available for planting so I decided to clean them out and check out the roots. CDLC#1 was first and showed lots of roots from about 1/2 way down the pot, (to the point of being root bound). Thick roots around the air dome and lots of growth into the copper barrier. The 2nd pot I checked out was the Psychofruit and her roots wasn't nearly as thick, with a dusting of roots on the copper barrier. Last was the Sour Crack and her roots were by far the least. It had some roots around the air dome, but not a single root had grown into the copper barrier. So I'm guessing my problem was a lack of oxygen in the root zone which caused water logging. I had watched a couple videos that recommended expanding the hole size on the foamy things that attach to the air dome, but I forgot to do it. So I'm guessing that some plants got more air than the others. Hopefully, the new air stones I purchased will provide the needed oxygen for the next grow. Sorry no pics this time ... I'll try to get some posted in a couple days when I jar the CDLC#!. :pass:
