I am building a RDWC using 8 - 5 gallon buckets for plants and 40 gallon Tote for Res. I have a 8x32 for grow area. I will be installing only 4 buckets with res and adding 4 more later. wanting to see if 4 works 1st. I will be using 1" for return to res and 3/4" to feed. I have a 1200 gph adjustable flow inline pump. I have 3/4" Bulkheads and 1" bulkhead. The size of the system itself will be 3' x 3' to set in a 4' x 4' area and if all works good then build the other 4.
1st off is anyone see a problem or dos'ent think this is the way to go.
Questions
1 - My buckets are 14" height, my bucket lid pots are 5" deep so I want my water level 1 inch below the pots. Where dose the top of my bulkhead 3/4" install at. do I want the 3/4 top 1" below or the bottom 1" below.
2- Total nutrient water in each bucket 3 1/4 gal. 13 gallon total for all 4 buckets. how many gallon should I have in res after all buckets are full.
