Journal Day 22
22 and 29 days old
Yesterday I topped 3 of the 4 with the big slow poke Grappa still popping out her 5th nodes. I topped 2 of them after 5th nodes but one of the Owl Pellets went turbo on me and had already produced the 6th node so I topped it 6/7. Totally snuck that by me, I had to count like 5 times until I believed it. The younger siblings have matched their elders day for day in growth and are starting to get pretty darn bushy. Tomorrow after work I’ll do some light branch pulling. It’s nice having a set that’s a week older to see what’s worked for me, I’d actually suggest it to fellow newbies. Knowing the future is pretty handy.
Some nice stretch starting to happen on the older 2 to go along with a few pistils. My guess is that’s pre-flowering? They’ve grown 7” since Sunday when I rigged the pullies so I raised light 3” to compromise with smaller plants. Manufacturer suggests 36” so I’m using that as a middle ground and I currently have the light 32” and 40”. The current ppfd is 590-620 for smaller and 704/685 taller. That feels good for a while so I’ll plan to raise light with the plant until I can’t anymore. Trying hard to avoid drastic changes because I’ve read that can stress and hermie your kids.
Everyone still looking happy except for the random splash and tear marks, no signs of any tomfoolery. Excited to see some pistils and getting on to the next stage. Happy growing! Peace
