If only one layer per bag I’m gonna need a shit ton of bags!

Well...the purpose of the brown paper is, that it sucks out the ḿoisture and distributes it evenly and that it can evaporate to the outside.
This way all buds dry the same and end up in an even rh distribution in all buds.
It is best, every bud has a light contact to the paper, or is at least near the paper.
If you have more than one layer, there will stay moisture inside and it can mold though. If you have one layer, the buds may have dense contact, thats no problem, but they should not be pressed in there. Once they first three days are over, I often compine 2-3 bags into one.

Also once they’re ready for the grove bags there’s no way they’ll be forgotten. If anyone thinks I’m waiting til it’s cured to roll one up they’re seriously mistaken! Some of these buds might make it to full cure

Oh I know it wasn’t meant that way! I was just being a smartass lol my apologies if I came off rude. The humor in my head is funnier before it comes out of my mouth haha. And I would’ve had buds on top of each other if not for your explanation so thanks much. I never thought through the entire process of sweating in bags to be honest, now I get it.

Question…do trichomes go from clear to white to milky/cloudy before amber or is all white considered all milky? My understanding is if you catch it at white/milky before any amber you get more of the head high since amber indicates THC converting to CBN? (or cbd I always forget lol) And the more amber the more a sedative/couchlock high? Not in the anxious “is it ready“ phase (yet) just confirming my timing. Thanks a bunch as usual.

Journal Day 63
63 and 70 days old

Took 2 months for my first problems to appear but its all on me. I didn’t realize the tent fans were unplugged for almost 48 hours. Now I have the powdery mildew on some leaves on 3 plants and also 2 spots on the stalk of one of them. Hopefully this can be taken care of with a bud washing when i cut them unless someone thinks I should spray them now? Hog left a vid with a recipe I‘d heard before of lemon juice and baking soda. Same recipe added to water should I need to spray it?

My other question is do most plants have a nice fade before they’re ready or if I start seeing some amber trichomes with all green leaves should I go ahead and cut it? Again, just planning in advance. Happy growing! Peace

Amber is invading the color scheme on both older plants (71 days) If it’s at peak thc I want to pull it but I’m not in a rush at all. In fact since I’m cutting stems at the stalk and washing the buds before bagging I‘ll be able to leave the lower growth behind if needed. This happened sooner than I expected and I’d love to get an opinion because I dont know how quickly the amber “spreads”. As you can see it’s not on every leaf/bud and that’s why I’m hesitant. As stated before I’m not worried about yield as much as I want to get it as close as possible to top thc content. I’m assuming that’s how you get the true intended high of that particular plant? I could be way off base so please feel free to bring me home. Peace

Great pics! You wanna be looking at the trichomes on the calyxes. Sugar leaves will ripen faster and are gonna get trimmed off (and saved for edibles or hash). I think you're looking clear/cloudy since a lot of that white is reflection from the flash, but you're probably around 2 weeks out
