Thanks man much appreciated. One more thing, you say you only dry in bags does that mean you dont hang the plant at all? Just straight to the bags?

Yup. Wet trim and straight into bags. Only problem with bags is you gotta cut up the nice big buds into smaller pieces

Ok cool, I like hearing diff proven methods so I have choices to fit my capabilities and environment.

I put them straight to the bags as well - cut down to max golfball sized nuggs.I put them loosely but close and take care that theres only one layer and that the paper is close to them. You don't necessarily have to put them on the bottom - one layer, no matter which direction - meanwhile i simply cover one side, fold close and stack them upwards with one empty , slightly opened paperbag inbetween them as a buffer and air condition, put them in a brown box and forget about them for 3 days. After three days i mix them together, and again 3 days. Then I take them out and put them into grove bags, and forget about them again.
easy once you trust those bags.

If only one layer per bag I’m gonna need a shit ton of bags!

Also once they’re ready for the grove bags there’s no way they’ll be forgotten. If anyone thinks I’m waiting til it’s cured to roll one up they’re seriously mistaken! Some of these buds might make it to full cure :crying:
I don't even bother heat sealing mine lol. Some I just start smoking right away. It's kinda cool to see how the high changes a bit with the cure. Usually takes me a month+ to go through a plant so it gets a decent cure on it by the end.

Journal day 60
60 and 67 days old

All is well on the home front. One of the SN/SW still has the rust spots on some of the top leaves but other than that they all look delicious. The better they look the more pressure I feel to dry them properly. Going straight to bags sounds efficient because of my space restrictions to hang the whole plant but I’m still trying to work out room for a drying tent because that would be easiest way to keep temps lower. Ambient humidity in the shed is always 57-63 but my temp is around 74 and I think that’s a little high to hang it. Light exhaust fan going in a tent would keep tent 63-67f and 60 rh and I could achieve a slower dry by hanging the whole plant. So I have some thinking to do lol. If 74-75f is ok for bags then I would have to just do that because it wouldn’t require more money and rearranging the shed.

I’m very grateful for all the advice I’ve received, the constant patience you guys have with newbies is outstanding!
Happy growing! Peace
