New Grower My first grow journal. Heavyweight Strawberry Cheese Cake

Hey pigman, what are your temps like, have you got any air circulation in there, now I am saying could be as I am a new grower myself but leafs curling up can be a sign of heat stress, good luck pal glad your starting to enjoy the journey

the temps in the room stay between 70-76 in this room. and the central air unit keeps the room with circulating air. I have not added a fan yet but I will as soon as I can pick one up. any thoughts about if I should start giving nutes?

Its good to have air movement around them as it encourages root development and strengthens the stems, as for the nutes i would prefer if a more experienced grower chip in, I didn't give mine any till day 21 but they was getting a root development addition,if no one else chips in I would say go in gentley if you wish.

Feed them pigman . Go 1/2 strength for a week to get their reaction . If everything goes smoothly continue on according to the mfrs . recommendations . Because their photos I don't see any negative reactions in your future and they'll probable gobble up the nutrients like little piglets :pighug: .

thanks guys for the feed back.

I am going to listen to both yalls advice. 1st ima get a fan in there to gently blow across them, and I will give them 1/2 strength nutes on the next watering.

:thank:appreciate the help guys!!!

Cool Strain Woops Clever set up with your lights. Question, what color temps (Kelvin) are the bulbs? 2700 - 3000 ? 6500K light at the vegetative stage and 2700K or 2500K light at the flowering stage is what works best - or so I've been told. If I were you I'd trace the floor with T5's/florescent bulbs that fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, or even run them down the corners. This was grown under the lighting setup I just described, all CFL and T5 + coco/soil + grow bag =

I f**ked up when I started this project and thought I had autos....(I know stupid me) and had planned on only using the 2700k that I have now. but because there photos, my plans are to move them outside in the next couple days to give them the correct lighting they need. then by the time I get ready to bloom them I will have me a tent and HID light system. I may re-rig my lighting setup I have now and use it for side lighting along with the HPS above.

Pigman Both my SC girls are above rockwool, but one heaved out of the rockwool (happens when you don't get the seed into the rockwool deep enough). Fortunately, she is a resilient little gal and started a secondary root system. Take heart these girls come from some badass stock. They are rugged. I have two Candy Kush autos popping up too. They aren't as aggressive as the photos... yet. Time will tell. Isn't it the best though?

you are correct paddler, they are some tough lil ladies! im surprised they have been able to hold their own with me as the gardener LMAO! but you are right, im having the time of my life getting to know these little beauties and watching them grow and change on a daily basis... I think of them as my other children LMAO!

ok yall, its day 22. night before last I took bears advice and give the ladies some 1/2 strength nutes.... and my oh my look at what a difference it made! :jaw:so just a quick shout out to 1939bear,:bow::thank:

I had the lights a little to low trying to make sure I get plenty of light to the smaller ones and ended up having it to close and got a little heat stress on #2 & #5. so I moved the lights up to where they should be for the bigger girls. the smaller ones are just going to have to step it up! anyways have a look and let me know if you have any thoughts or concerns with any of them.

also I have a question, should I be alternating water and nutes? feeding nutes every other time I water? or is it ok during the veg stage to keep giving the nutes with plenty of water?
