Alright I can go get them tomorrow. Uhm my faucet water has a starting ph of 7, and no I haven't put it in the system yet it is still in the rock wool

Anyway, I'm going to walk to the hydro store when it opens in a few hours, and grab a ppm meter along with a ph meter. I just put the rock wool straight in the clay beads after I clean them correct?

Alright a I have my ph meter, and a tds meter that converts it into ppm. My question do either require calibration before usage

It would be a good idea bro, they say they come calibrated but I have seen some that sit on shelves and go dry. Once the probe dries out it can crack. Give it a calibration and make sure you store it with the 7.0 fluid always. I put mine in the cleaning solution once a month as well, you would be amazed at how quick the probe gets build up on it and really slows the reading.
Alright I'll do that now thank you. I'll do the same then I wouldn't have thought it needed cleaning. What do you mean store it with 7.0 fluid exactly?

There should be a cap for your meter. inside that cap will be a small reservoir. One of your calibration fluids should be 7.0, you need to keep a little fluid in that cap to keep the probe from getting dry.
Oh alright thank you. I found a few ways to make a calibration solution with purified water and salt seems simple, but would it be better to buy a premade one?
