My first auto bean :)

Excited to find my first auto bean today! Both parents are Russian Fuel. I've read that beans are still developing for a short time after you harvest them? How long should I wait before I try to germinate?

Let the beans dry for around 8 weeks then put them in the cooler at 5C° for 2 weeks and you got a germ rate around 99%.

I just sat down to look up how long to wait and what to do, came here first. I used to grow outdoors and made my own seeds, but I never tried to sprout them before the next spring, usually went well. Thanks, I will be sprouting them about 6 weeks time then. appreciate the info

I never hand out seeds tell about 2 months after I harvest them. The germ rate is pretty high by this time. Wait at least 2 months.

4 weeks after harvest is when u start to get close to 99%germ
You will see this til about week 30-32 after 28weeks your seeds go down to about 90%. Every 4 weeks after that u get rapid decline with 10-20% rate loss.

So simple terms, wait a month after you harvest you get the best germ rate for about 6-8months after a year you see a decline by year 2 seeds will get harder to pop.

Storage is a key factor as well I don't tell anyone how to store because I don't store in a traditional way I don't like putting seeds in s fridge because it does help preserve a seed long but it really effects germ rates down the line so if u going to put any in the freezer make sure u have 100s of seeds to germinate because after it freezes it can be problematic popping them. If u plant on growing all of them in the next year don't freeze.

I've got a few hundred, I've been letting them sit in these small jars with the lids off. Russian fuel x nothern lights, blue mystic and OG kush. Lots of beans... I'm working on crossing a Purple Mazar male with a couple others too.

Well I tried 6 beans about 10 days ago and none popped

What is your method? Seeds should be good for a couple of years!
