I received another reply from Pyramid not that I would grow them again but seems they want to make an effort so as to not totally tarnish a reputation here is what I received (partially), seems they are not familiar with stealth shipping.

So just to follow up and wrap this up, seems Pyramid is happy to blame Herbies at this point, I am thinking I am not buying from Herbies again as this is my second Herbies incident and I don't have faith in them anymore I do believe Pyramid when they state Herbies most likely packaged Photo white widow as Auto but Pyramid I blame you for weak/leafy genetics that hermie in good conditions. Bottom line Pyramid seeds are cheap for a reason and Herbies has been outdone by other banks it seems at this point although I know if I complain they will make it right on my next order but I want someone who I don't have to worry about messing up my order twice in one year. My advice pay for premium seeds and get from a source in original breeder packs unless your ok with mediocre results.

I agree with you, I will NEVER purchase from Gorilla Seeds ever again. I spent over 125 US and only two seeds popped. At the same time, 100% of my Mephisto and Fast Buds seeds popped, so it wasn't me that screwed up. I never heard a word from them, other than they pointed to their sign that says "Seeds are for collection purposes only". What a cop out! Don't buy squat from these turds.

It all makes one leary...Never like seeing seeds show up removed from breeders packaging...an easy out for breeder and distributor... finger pointing 101. Never seen breeders packaging that couldn't be hidden properly. I prefer to go directly to the breeder, as I have no way of knowing how many yrs those seeds sat on their shelves.

Ive grown pyramid auto purple for a while,now and I agree. The germ rate blows but I think the genetics are nice and the bud is always stellar and comparable to the photo bud I grow so I order a pack every now and then just to keep it nostalgic lol

Pyramid seeds does make very potent strains, but their genetics suck.
The strains are very stable in phenotypes and potency but the hermaphrodite ratio is very high. Almost 90% of what I have purchased from them turns hermaphrodite indoors. Outdoors the hermie rate is very low, around 5%.
These hermies are as potent as the pyramid says, if not more potent. However the amount of bud is small and bottom line is the grows are ruined.
The "funny" part is that if you grow the seeds produced by the hermies this hermaphrodite tendency disappears and all seeds are feminised and no hermies. But flowering takes ages to start and potency is very low. Same happens with the accidental crosses that happen with other strains.
They clearly have to do something about their genetics and the parent plants they choose for their seeds. Their mothers are clearly hermaphrodite-prone, a more careful selection could prove helpful.
It is a pity because their bud is potent and tasty.
