Indoor My 2nd Grow: Purple Jems ... Again!! :) Possibly a couple others as well

*bows before jem* Wow, I just read both of your purple jem grows from the first to last post. BRAVO! Im using PJ's and Easy Ryders for my first indoor grow that I am starting in about 2 weeks. Lots of useful information. I loved the lst job you did with your PJ #2 from your first grow. Good luck with your harvest, though i doubt you need it. Can't wait to see the smoke comparison between organic and inorganic PJ's.

lol... thanks for stopping by Roller. Yea, i cant wait myself to compare, they are starting to smell really sweet, but only when you brush against the buds. Yea, that PJ was a beast for sure. Guarantee the you wont be disappointed with the PJ and i heard the Easy Ryders were a pretty nice smoke too. Im thinking that i'm going to mix some OF into my mixes from the start and i bet that helps out a lot next grow. We'll see!

Well, due to the fact that upon close examination today i saw that i might have some little critters coming back around(mites). I think im gonna go ahead and chop em end of this week. (Right around 71 days) Waay to late to try any kinda fighting and Im really liking how they look anyways. Is there any way to tell if my plant is seeded or not. I didn't want these have any seeds, but im kinda worried that pollen could've gotten on my cfl's and when i transferred these 2 JEMS to my other closet with the cfl's it could have possibly dropped on them. I wiped the room down really clean with bleach after i took the male out. But are you supposed to rub down the bulbs too?

Press a couple of calyx's between your thumb and index finger...

squash lightly with the Pads of your fingers...and you will be able to feel the small round lump if a seed is present...even quite early on...

DAMN!!! Son of a B!! I got little tiny seeds all throughout one of my jems as Im looking at it now. Crap, that means its prolly in the other as well. I guess i gotta try to do something with em tho. Im gonna be pulling out more seeds than schwag weed.
It looks as if my plant mighta turned hermie on me and had ball sacs at the very bottom, they look like they might have opened up like 2 weeks ago or something.

Im gonna smoke it either way, no way i just wasted all that time. Smells so goooood too.

Well, how bad could that be??? I just got a great deal on JEMS for just under $4.50 a bean... You prolly just made 200-300, at least. Dang man! You're almost rich!! :thumbs:

Man JEM, I feel for ya. I have an Mi5 that just kept getting fatter and fatter so I said fuck it and let it grow, stopped paying it as much mind other than checking the colas every now and then and zooming at the lower bud sites with a microscope.

Finally I chopped it the other day.. and low and behold, sumbitch hermied. I went through every bud on it and there was 6 immature seeds and 4 VERY ripe seeds.

It won't effect the smoke, as long as it's not riddled with seeds it shouldn't of used up all the good buds. Mine was about 123 days old, little longer than normal for a Mi5.. didn't expect it to hermie though. Are you sure the pollen was from the CFLs? I would expect the heat to kill the pollen.

lol...man, i dont even know! but yea, the seeds are super tiny... worthless. But i didnt chop down my other JEM but also see that there are seeds in her too. Does this mean i should just let her stay around for like 3 more weeks so they get bigger? How do i start her back on nutes? She's been plain water for like 2.5 weeks now. Suggestions?

But when i say seeds i mean SEEDS... tons of them all throughout every single bud on the girl i just took down. And it seems the same with my other girl.

Hey...yea sry! I really just dont find myself having the time to swing thru as often. Doing a bunch of rehab stuff on my back lately and unfortunately it kinda leaves me a little spent. Kinda forget about all of the sites i tend to frequent.

But yea, im doing quite well actually. Yea Thai we gotta get together sometime man...find out whats new.
The camera that i was using to take all the pics for this site was on my roomates phone, and it ended up crashing, so i didn't actually get to take any harvest shots of the last Jems. But trust mee.... they were NOTHING special at all. lol Oh so ugly... Im pretty positive that my new schedule and being a rookie with the new soil was to blame for it. Too many light fluctuations caused Jemman to get sum females with ball sacs. lol But its all good, one of them still had a pretty smooth smoke still.

The ones that i currently have going are some Cobras gifted to me from a friend. I have 3 of them and none really got too big, but im definitely looking forward to the smoke. I think that i may finally be getting a hang of how to mix a good tea up. And Im almost certain i can read deficiencies pretty dam good now..lol! Next time thru im positive I will have a better outcome.
I may post a couple of pics if my bro lends me his phone.

I'm certainly not planning on stopping growing anytime soon so i know it will get better and better with time if i stick with it. Considering the fact that it seems things may a lil too busy for me right now, im not sure if I will post the whole grow log of my next bunch. But i'll def. swing thru with sum pics every now and then.
