New Grower My 1st Grow, A journey...

Took about five minutes to write this... Hmmm, good night!

looks like the cc may have got wwwillie baked lol. read the whole diary, very interesting and great documentation not to mention a beautifull plant I'm in awe man

Hey willie :tiphat: Your plants are looking great, those buds are some of the frostiest I've seen on here. :slap:

I've been watching this thread since the beginning, been quite the journey indeed. You're almost at the finish line now but just remember the drying & curing stage is probably the most important part. Those Boveda humidipak's you got should make the curing part pretty easy, I just ordered some of those myself cause I want to keep a bit of my NLB in long term storage and do an extra long cure. Anyways I know you like to do your research so I would suggest you look a bit more into drying, specifically the paper bag drying vs. hang drying. I think you will find that putting them straight into paper bags will help get you the best possible smell and taste out of your buds.

Best of luck to you man, hoping for a solid finish.

Well... That was fun! A walk in the snowstorm last night and a W&B this morning. Ahhhh.... More on this later.
Here are some pictures from yesterday. Have some work, work and housework to get through than I can visit for a while.
Oh and thanks again for the kind words and encouragement!

The tent doesn't look like much, upon further examination... Buds!

Thank you wwwillie for your brilliant diary/blog/journal, love it! I am a total newbie, obviously. Stumbled upon your blog on a cold and cough filled Sunday afternoon, and read the whole thing up until todays entry. Feeling very excited for you.

Garden is good. Girls are doing great. I fed BDM girls yesterday. To a gallon of aftwI added 8ml Fusion Bloom for 485ppm and 8ml Resinator for 250ppm, pH 6.2 each received 1.85 Liters. CC received 2.4 liters of aftw pH 6.2. CC is on flushing rations now, just pH'd aftw until harvest.

@greenzilla - Indeed! And thanks for the kind words.

@Hansbricks, Thanks and yes I am researching away. Read my Rosenthal on to Cervante And of course following in the footsteps of all of our intrepid growers such as yourself. Thanks again my friend!

@laazycat, Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed it. If I can do it so can you!

Sooo....

It's been a bit over 24 hrs and I still feel it a bit, little like hung over, not unpleasant like that though, just know I did something different.
Went for a walk in the snow, not snowing to hard but windy and cold about 10 deg. F. Nohing like going outside in the cold, having a few hits and coming back into the warm. Mmm just like I remembered. Vaping was a bit more difficult at first than I thought. I did not have it chopped as fine as it should have been and it was so gooey. I tried about 4-5 hits and did manage to get somewhere. After we got home I broke it up a lot more and got two real nice hits. That did it!! Needless to say I got thoroughly "medicated". I thought the buzz very racy and trippy. Couldn't stop staring at my bud pictures and after that listened to a Dead Show. That was great, quite colorful, and was all I had hoped for it that way. Did not help with my insomnia, kind of kept me up actually, mind was racing along, pleasantly, but quite busily. Had to take an ambien. Woke up usual time, felt ok not too draggy. Proceeded to grab the Launch Box and have three nice draws from it. The ol' wake and bake... I got very high again and again it was quite racy and colorful. Went for a walk had a big cup of coffee and quite an enjoyable morning. After a big meal I was able to work and do some chores, feeling a bit toasty but very capable.
The bud was incredibly sticky almost gooey, don't know if it dried/cured well enough, 4 days in a paper bag, two in a jar with a few burps. It smelled so heavily of resin, like mineral spirits, or oil putty I did not get a cheese smell (but what do I know from cheese, critical or otherwise). The vapor was pleasant, light tasting. I think I need to smoke some to better describe it. Never having "vaped" before. Time and experience will tell. I like the launch box, very easy to use, spousal approval is high due to low odor.
So that's that until next week! There should be enough left from that budlet for another couple of hits. I am saving that for Friday night. Glad harvest time is right around the corner!
Peace and thanks for reading.

World Wide Willie!

Dude that bud was lovely! And "gooey" was what the pic made me think. Not frosty...GOOEY! And like any gooey treat, it makes one want to just gobble it up! Finger lickin' good! Damn, I'm jealous! LOL!!

So how was vaping in 10 deg air? Obviously, you didn't hack out a lung so it must have been ok! Use my e-cig at those temps and both lungs would be laying on the sidewalk. It just doesn't get warm enough.

Well spousal disapproval at def-con F**K!
Spent the evening building an Ona bucket out of a 5 gal bucket and some computer fans. Ugly but cheap (except for the Ona) here's hoping it works!! I have to get my room built. A nice sealed room with the only exhaust being filtered through a BIG carbon filter and an Ona bucket outside the door!! I never thought that this would be the issue that it has become. I mean really, a couple of big fights due to the odor (and yes my obsession too). So this room has to be built!

I am kind of mad that I didn't catch you before you made the Ona bucket, but look into those plug in ozone generators. I have read that there can be health problems with it but thousands of people swear by them. They make O3 and that third oxygen atom basically binds to other airborne molecules (fungi, mold, bacteria). It is supposed to eliminate smell, but it needs to be regulated on how long it is on at a time. They have plugin ones that you could put near the room.
