Update #8

So some updates to share including the first harvest.! :headbang:

Star Ryder

So this baby was always on cruise control from the beginning and grew very fast, had some problems here and there but generally a painless grow. Germination started around April 10 and I cut her down around July 1, so around 11 weeks or so. The leaves had been yellowing for a while and trikes were nice and cloudy with a few amber.

My yield was about 1 ounce after aggressive trimming, not as much as a lot of grows I’ve seen here, but for an outdoor grow with it’s fair share of problems, I am very happy. After drying for 5 days and two days of curing I had a small sample and it was really smooth and nice. I am pretty happy with it and will do a proper smoke report later on!

Sour Diesel
So I’ll be lucky if I get ½ ounce off of this, but it’s all been worth it. I went through so many missteps and problems, but in the end I will have weed, so I am happy! There’s a nice smell and visible frostiness on the buds.

The leaves are starting to yellow, so I’m thinking another week or so before I chop, the bud structure is very odd however, and I don’t know if it’s just the plant or the f-ed up things I did to it, but the structure is very loose, not tight at all. You can see this on the second photo. Any ideas or comments?

Blue Mystic
So I’m going to say another two weeks on this one maybe? The leaves are not showing too many signs of changing color. The bud structure is more of what you would expect, very different from the Sour D. Again, in terms of size, this one will probably not yield me too much, but probably more than the Sour D. Maybe 3/4 oz?

It may be my imagination, but it’s even looking like there is a slight blue-ish tinge to the bud color? Would make sense, being Blue Mystic and all . . .:coffee:

So there you have it, the main obstacle I can foresee at this point is the brutal humidity we are currently experiencing here. I’m really having to stay on top of the Powdery mildew spots that pop up almost every day. I use a light solution of SM-50 to clean these up and I remove any leaves that look too far gone, although I think I’ve kept up with it. We are expecting some rain over the next few days, so I will be sheltering these from a direct soaking as best I can.
