Before shot...

DSCF0326.jpg

Stella and the Explode.... I swear by this stuff, in my experience it increases yield and quality... For autos it can be used from the start of flowering at 0.25ml per litre and then increased gradually to 1.5ml per litre.

Stella, Daniella and Anouska are just about to get it at the 1.5ml concentration.

This is the before shot... the after shot will be taken in approximately 28 days...

She will be a big, beautiful lady by then... watch and see... Ripe and juicy, gagging to be fertylized...

Happy gardening

Dreaded bud rot...

Experienced growers bear with me or roll your eyeballs, inexperienced growers please read and learn.

Please pay attention to your plants, spend time with your plants daily, soaking in the lovely warm grow room vibe, get to know them, their ins and outs, any imperfections, have pleasant positive thoughts about them, speak to them and give them nice names. Love and nurture them.

If you do you will be rewarded. The single little leaf (from the main cola) in the photo below being droopy and off colour was enough to alert Mr Jorilla ganjamoto to the fact that one of his ladies (a TD ) is ill and is suffering from a bud rot infection.

Four healthy chunky nuggets have had to be removed, but thankfully the infestation was not too severe and Juicy Lucy should recover.

Here are a few closeups of the damage...

Notice the yellow droopy leaves on each of the buds in amongst otherwise healthy green growth.

Now one or two of you may be asking how does one avoid getting the bud rot in the first place.... Good question.

Keeping the temperature and humidity low is a good start and keeping the air moving around the flowers as well , Mr Jorilla ganjamoto does this but since the ladies produce such dense tightly packed nuggets a little bit of rot is sadly inevitable. Therefore vigilance is essential.

Additives such as liquid silicon may make plants more resistant and also increase yield, this can also be used to raise pH as it is highly alkaline. Anti bud rot sprays such as Bud rot stop are available however Mr Jorilla ganjamoto has not yet tested this product type. UV-C emitting lights such as the Clean Light are now available for hobby growers which use UV-C radiation to kill bud rot spores, Mr Jorilla ganjamoto is going to invest in one of these and will post once tested.

Happy growing

Awesome stuff Mr Ganjamoto!! (Jorilla jorilla ^_^)

Thanks very much for all the tips you passing forward in this thread, it's a joy to watch you growing & i'm learning loads and loads in here!!
I'm going to rep you as soon as it lets me! I need to spead some around first

I'll be right back with a slap (for you)!! ^_^

:slap:

Is that the Chrysler building in the back there????

Yep, got a little bit o the bud rot meself this last grow. Glad you caught it in time, would be a shame to lose more TD buds!!! Cant wait for the after shots!!!

Sorry to hear that you had the rot yourself... at least we know what to look for and can minimise the damage..

Four chunky nuggets were surgically amputated, the necrotic tissue removed and are now drying nicely... a little bit of a premature harvest.... but that's ok by me....

The TD girls are now beginning to swell and get juicy... after shots should be good....

I'm really pleased with the AFD ladies as well, will have a photo update soon.

Have a banana

Miss Daniella update....

Miss Daniella is starting to form some nice little nuggets...

DSCF0382.jpg

I am however having issues with new growth showing distorted growth and abnormal coloring...

DSCF0385.jpg

Zinc lockout and salt buildup is my guess... Anyone else with other ideas please say...

Daniella has been flushed with 60 litres of filtered pH adjusted water. I am still pondering how to proceed feed wise... Suggestions welcome....

On a positive note lower flower production is normal... and she has the most beautiful sweet aroma, an intense juicy fruit chewing gum type thing.

Separating out lower large buds of main cola, keeping grow room clean and free of plant debris...

Any further suggestions?

All for now

Mr Jorilla ganjamoto.

Miss Anouska update...

Miss Anouska is the smallest of three AFD ladies in the grow room but she was the first to enter puberty, she may be small but she is perfectly formed and has the most beautiful peach wispy bits.

DSCF0382.jpg

She is easy growing thankfully and is producing lovely little fat nuggets that somewhat remind me of chunky bizzy bummbleebees.

She has the finest bouquet of perfectly sun ripened alphonso mango....

Mmmmh I cant wait....
