Grow Mediums Mom's AutoCob, AutoPot, AutoMazar, MegaCrop Grow :-)

I used my moms magnifying glass and didnt see anything like little mites. All I saw were some defects in the leaves and clear looking water drops...I assume are trichomes.

I hope all will be ok. sigh. I sprayed the undersides with neem oil anyhoo. fingers crossed just my mazar not liking ph. I am itching thinking about mites. ewwwwww.

OK>>>>> thanks guys. Going to order a new filter at end of week when I get paid, and right now going to get my moms ultra magnifying glass she reads with and go inspect top and back of leaves closely.

xoxoxo
Before you purchase a new filter, check to see if your filter has screws on its end pieces and not pop rivets. If it has screws you can unscrew the two ends and reverse them, effectively reversing the air flow thru the activated charcoal. If they are removable you could also repack it with new charcoal.

I’m not sure how some people go about it but there is also a way to clean up the activated charcoal by heating it. I’ve only heard of this and not sure how reliable it is. Perhaps someone will chime in here on how to do it.

I ve a free filter available mom. Mark CAN filter 60cm 200m3 in perfect shape. Was way too big for my little tent. But it will cost more to transport it to the other side of the world then buying a new one i suppose? Greetings, moon.

well, my goodness, thank you so much!! yep, i think the shipping would come to more than the 40.00 new filter will cost me on amazon.

You haven't seen any bugs? Looks like leaf miners, spider mite leave tiny, pinprick like spots.

I love it. I just went into the tent to peek on them and they have already drank their 2 gallons and gotten larger. woo hoo!

Lady one is still suffering with her spotty leaves here and there.I have the funny feeling it IS a ph fluctuation issue with calcium def. because she is in half soil & half coco getting +/-5.9ph water. Her sisters are in just coco and seem fine. Oh well, going to ride it out.

No....I went over the tops of leaves and bottoms with my moms magnifying glass, and all i saw were clear looking drops here and there, no bugs. Omg, hope they are trichomes and not egg sacks.
I cleaned the tops and bottoms of leaves with neem oil the other day and today gave them a soaking of it.

I have dia earth in the substrate, i have dunks in the res, and they are dripping with neem oil.
Sigh. Dont know what to do from here but wait it out.

Still praying it is what wiara said and probably ph issues from the strawberry fields soil and canna terra (peat based) mixed into the pots.

If I lose this crop I will be one pissed off mom.

I'm sure it is as Waira says. I have three plants now that are not happy and all I can figure is it was pH fluctuations. pH is stable now, plants are moved into new spot and all I can do is wait. What tipped me off mostly was the Blueberry, known to be finicky.
None the less, I inspect my leaves on a regular basis for anything weird. Once you have had spider mites, it's never the same again :nono:
If the other plants are good and nothing shows up, you are fine. Just inspect regular and most issues can be nipped in the bud and won't become a nightmare for you

Thanks hon. I guess it is just a waiting game. Yes, my heart dropped to my stomach when I thought spider mites. Creepy little pains in the ass!!! And I thought a few grows ago the little black flying things in my tent were bad. Ugggggg. I cant stop looking at them now..my poor little things. I am in moma bear mode and pissed (and itching just thinking about it).
:fire:

I have decided that I will let this grow finish and not start a new one before they are done. I want to bleach out tent, sterilize everything and make sure all is ok. Then I am going to make sure that all my new ladies are in the same substrate...coco only! I think I messed up at the beginning by running out of coco and filling the other pots with peat based stuff and soil. Now I cant remember which one got which. Only thing I can remember is lady [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] is half soil half coco. Doing things correct at the beginning and documenting EVERYTHING can help later if there are issues.

My last grow I sprayed my tent (not plants) every other day with a homemade spray of water, neem oil, and tea tree oil. Maybe it was luck but I had no bug issues.

I think the thing that gets me the most is how they were kicking ass and taking names the first few weeks in their cups.

Try not to worry, the color of the spots really doesn't look like pest damage. If it is pests that pierce/suck not chew, they tend to leave a "silver" spot behind as the plant cells are drained and die off. That looks more like non-pest issues. Gad I wish I could see stuff in person, it is so hard to "diagnose" over the internet.
But since you know one pot was "off" then it's safe to almost do a process of elimination and figure that that is indeed the issue.

The plants still look great so try not to worry. :bighug:
