Grow Mediums Mom's AutoCob, AutoPot, AutoMazar, MegaCrop Grow :-)

When the plants shift into strong flower the roots will exude substances that will drop the PH very rapidly and by quite a margin 5.8 to 4.6 in my past experiences. Keep an eye on this as it will lock out your nutrients if left for long.
This is my first DWC grow with MC and will keep an eye on it. I do check pH twice daily on this and previous DWC grows. My experience with AN and DWC was that pH would constantly creep up on me all thru flowering, sometimes up by 2 points in a day. I was constantly chasing pH.

Aquarium products have leaching agents to remove heavy metals and they will bond to the Cal-Mag, iron, zinc, etc. and cause deficiencies in your plants Do Not use them.
Good info to know. I don’t use them any longer as my water company changed their methods awhile back.

PH rising like that in DWC is usually the calcium carbonate dissipating with aeration. Aerating your water for a couple of days before using it solves that creep.

:thanks:for all the great information. Eight months out of the year I use rainwater with an EC of 0.01 and a pH of 7.0. Mix it with MC and it drops right down. I love using the stuff and should be switching back to it soon as we are expecting rain this weekend or snow, ya never know around here. :shrug:

Rain water can be full of pollution if you are near or downwind from a highway or industrial complex. It will also wash dirt, bird shit, bugs etc. off of a roof for collection. If you do not have these issues it can be just like free RO and perfect starting water.

Of course, if I still lived near an international airport, I would never do this. I would be RO all the way. Luckily, I live far away from any pollution sources and there are ways to screen/filter out the other contaminants you mentioned. I have drank it myself on occasion when the lights & water were out for five days. I like to joke that I’m so far out, it gets so quiet you can hear a pin drop....in the snow.

DAY 34
(3) cobs 24x7
Temp: 80
Humidity 35-40
Fresh res with 3 gallons of tap water (left out 48 hrs) 3.5g Megacrop per gallon, and 2ml/g Hydroguard.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gave ladies a fresh res fill, and all is looking great. I have been leaf tucking here and there but other than that they seem to be on autopilot. I have seen some more brown spots on lady [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] but I am not going to worry about it as she is in half coco and half soil and I think it might be a low ph situation for her. I will just do the best I can for her until harvest. (Giving her a little xtra cal/mag)
Pistils coming any day now. Looks great honestly. It looks like they had a very enjoyable vegetation phase. Great job.
