Grow Mediums Mom's AutoCob, AutoPot, AutoMazar, MegaCrop Grow :-)

@MassMom
Your babies are looking great :d5: and while I would go crazy with your dunking method, if it works for you then stick with it. That’s the secret ever grower needs to learn, find what works for you and stick with it. That and learning to read your plants. Everything after that is just downhill to harvest.
Its so funny how everyone has their different method. I would go crazy trying to water a small seed in a large pot. Well, they look great and fingers crossed they stay that way. This Mega Crop is the bomb!!

I found results of using a PK booster after I harvested, buds dried so dense and hard it was great. You may see the same. I was using Remo tho just got BE yesterday to try.

Great job mom, I'm sure the gals will be fine and you will see them explode as the roots fill in the bigger space they now have.
:slap:

Thanks RivetGrrl. Fingers crossed mine turns out like that too.

And hope all is well MassMom!!

This morning I mixed up (1) liter of RO water mixed with 0.53 Mega Crop and 0.53 Sweet Candy....and gave a good shake until all was dissolved. This is the first feed with Sweet Candy. Poured the mixture into a bowl, Ph'd to 6.0 and ladies had their dunks until their weight was +/- 1500g.
I forgot to get ppm...:naughtystep:

I ADORE this new little jewelers/powder scale I have. Very accurate and it has a little spoon thingie that I can just pour the powder into my container. Love it.

Between the 3 of them they sucked up the whole liter. (I am not mixing up a gallon yet, I am still mixing up a fresh liter at a time.)

I just want to make sure my math is OK.

2 grams per gallon broken down to a liter = 0.53 grams per liter. I have been using this online calculator.

Is 2 grams of MC & SC per gallon at (2) weeks OK? Should I be attempting to up the MC?

Hi MassMom — happy Sunday! Looking at Greenleaf’s nutrient calculator now. https://greenleafnutrients.com/supplements-feeding-calculator/ Sweet Candy looks to be pegged at 1 gr/gallon the whole grow unless you are going offchart. For the Megacrop 2.0, they recommend 2 gr/gal for a “seedling/small plant” and increase that to 4 gr/gal in Veg. So when my ladies were straddling the line, I picked the midline and went with the 3 gr/gal. I’m still too new to deviate much from what they recommend.

I just have it it my head that 1 gallon is 3785ml or 3.785l and then the math is simple. 2/3.785=0.528...

As for is it too much? In general I would say no, but look to your babies for the answer. If they look light green consider upping it 10% and wait, if they look dark green consider backing it off the same and wait. If you like the way they look, stay the course and wait. LOL Listen to your girls.

The nice thing about MC is that you aren’t shaking your head at which one of the fifteen bottles you need to add more or less of anymore.

Thanks hon, yes I am afraid to deviate to far also. The back of the SC bag says 1-2g per gallon, so I just went with the 2. Maybe I should start with the 1 and see how it goes, stay lower on the scale, so to speak.

The ladies are looking lovely, so I think I will keep it where it is for a few days at least. I love MC. I dont have to worry about measuring 5 things anymore, which to add to water first, cleaning syringes, droppers, shot glasses, etc. And once they go on the res and I am adding gallons (not liters) it will be even easier!

Oh gosh look, the bag does say that. Still getting used to this Megacrop, I wish the instructions were consistent! Frustrating sometimes but I am acclimating myself too, kinda odd the GH 10 bottle regimen seemed less complicated LOL! Sorry to steer you wrong on that.

I confuse myself quite a bit with Megacrop feeding instructions — but not enough to switch. The ladies really seem to be liking it, so I’m on board.

Oh heck you didnt steer me wrong, I just read the bag and said "ok, 2g". Usually I go with the lower on the scale, but for some reason I did the 2g. I am sure they will be fine, but tomorrow I will go down to the 1g. Yeah, it seems to be more of a "watch your plants" type of thing rather than a science, which I think is the better way to be honest....just one that I am not used to. My ladies are greener than I have ever had babies be..usually they are a much lighter green. I think they are loving it.

I think they’re loving it too. They look awesome. The “reading of the plants” technique — bit of a learning curve there too eh? I’ve got a bunch of seedlings I recently started, right away one of them bolts for the cob, the thing is almost 6 inches tall, so i drop the cob and fry the babies —- :clapper: LOL!!!
