Grow Mediums Mom's Autocob, Autoflower, Autopot Grow

Well...Lordy Be. I just checked the tent and there are (2) little Gorilla OG babies here who want to say hi!!!!

Look at how far they "pushed" off the little bits of root riot that were covering their light holes. Bless their little hearts.
Go babies, GO!
:woohoo:

And here are the big girls. Unknown lady in the right rear has some amber trichomes. Thelma had one that I could find. Loiuse isnt even cloudy yet...clear all around. Look how big Louise is compared to them, airdome perhaps? I think unknown lady may come down in a few days, closely followed by Thelma. Louise still has some bud packing to do:hump:

This is the USB microscope that I got and a few others have this same one. It works on laptops and if you download the android app you can get the usb/microusb connector so you can use your phone.

i like that one! you take off a leaf, observe it,and can capture pics right on your laptop~ However, it says software optional> does that mean you have to buy the software separate to be able to take pics and put them on your laptop to share?

24hrs later and both Gorilla babies had wonderful tap roots sticking out of the bottom of the riots. I planted them into little 4" pots filled with coco pre-moistened with distilled water & a little bit of Recharge, AN B52 and Earth Juice cal/mag. I hope I am doing this right!

NOW....some say water till runoff then let pot dry to feather-light before next water. Some say no...water a little each day. Im confused.
:dizzy:

I dont want to over-water at this point as I'm wondering if it is the reason I always stunt my plants.(??) I have a 42W 6500 CFL about 5" above the babies. Usually I have it about 2" above, but I want to see some stretch.

Still no sign of the (3) Glueberry OG babies, but I'm not surprised. The Gorilla babies had a 2 day start over them.

I assume you don't have any autopots left correct? I just thought why would you not put the rapid rooters directly in to autopots instead of risking a transplant pot up from the 4 inch, but maybe you don't have any autopots left?

Also how many hours or days did you leave them in just the rapid rooters after the surfaced? You moved from just the plugs to the 4 inch pot in just a day or so right?

My big girls are still in the autopots. I have (2) more autopots....But I wanted to try this method of growing babies in the cups until the other ladies are harvested. I want to do 4 at a time "perpetual grows" and get babies started before last ladies are harvested. So....I guess I take the chance and just transplant up.

I see a lot of threads on AFN where they do the autopots, then harvest, then pause a few weeks (or even months) before they start a new grow from seeds in the autopots. I dont have the patience, LOL. I want to try doing perpetual grows as I said....getting babies started for 20 days in cups then when big ladies are harvested I can clean the pots, lines, res...get everything fresh, and plop in already 20 day old plants.

I will see how it goes. If I mess up this transplanting thing TO BAD I will in the future just have to wait until I harvest (4) ladies before starting new seeds.....and develop patience.
:crying:

Maybe someday I will have enough money for 8 autopots~ that would be the schnitz!!!!
:cooldance:

Yesterday morning I saw them poke up their heads. I figured it would be a few days or more until I saw a taproot. A few hours ago I said to myself "just for giggles why not go check the bottoms and see if anything is there". When I did there were at least 1.5" roots coming out of the bottom of both riots! So it was 24 hours, yes. Surprised the heck out of me.

Do you have the first set of leaves too? That is one thing people look for before the move to pots. Myself I am going to wait a few days before I move to pots.

We're on a similar path. I do have 8 autopots now and 2 rez. But I only want to grow 6 at a time. I'm in the early days of switching to autopots and trying to figure out what my perpetual plan will be and all the details like how I germ and when to put in autopots. Right now I have 2 plants in autopots that are coming up on 4 weeks. And I love these pots based on what I'm seeing with these two plants. Then I have 2 more waiting in the wings which I'll have some plants in a few days. Then I'll wait a bit and let the last two in fabric pots finish and then switch to all 6 autopots with 2 spares. And call it perpetual or staggered growing, but I plan on having my plants grow in pairs of 2. so I could have one pair as seedlings, one pair veg and one pair bloom. Or some combination of. Its going to be interesting to get to the point where I know what I'm actually doing! lol. It's going to be fun no matter what though. Really enjoy growing with the autopots. They add some structure to what I'm doing for some reason.
