Grow Mediums Mom's Autocob, Autoflower, Autopot Grow

Great looking plants! Not a happy cat! 50 and still learning new hobbies................:woohoo: Happy Birthday.:bday1:

50 is so far in my rearview I don't see it any longer. Getting old is not for the weak. That is why God gave us cannabis.:hula:

:welcome:
Thank you sweetie!!! Nice to "meet" you. I am VERY close to western mass...I go to Greenfield all the time. Yeah, I just do NOT DIG this pre soak swelling coco crap. I am going to empty out the pots and go find me some pre bagged stuff. I hear there is a great grow store in Northampton..I might go check it out. I just dont get a good feeling from these bricks..then again, using coco at all scares the heck out of me. I am going to go check out your grows now, thank you for inviting me to.
BTW....I dont know..."sour livers" sounds doomed from the start, LMAO.
:crying:

LATER THAT EVENING: Going through your posts and enjoying them.
Triple Automatic: a grow using autocobs with autopots and automatic flowers.
They should start a new section within AFN: TRIPLE AUTO for all of us doing autopots, autocobs, and autoflower. I LOVE IT.

Haha I was born in Greenfield, live about 35 minutes away now! Thanks for checking out my grow, we are trying the same approach here so I've learned a lot reading your thread as well! I agree we need a Triple Auto section on AFN! Love how you are using some science to try and answer some questions like whether the air domes or pot position make a difference. Of course the plants are individuals, and sometimes they just do what they are going to do so it is hard to tell with one grow what is making a difference, but that is the point of keeping a journal, you can look back and see trends and progress. I'm starting my next batch hopefully this weekend so another opportunity to learn :oops1:

As far as grow shops, not sure about Northampton but "Here we Grow" in Hadley has been there forever and has a a really solid rep. For the past year I've been frequenting "Green Wave Garden Supply & Hydroponics" in Amherst. They just opened in the past year and they have a really good vibe, the kind of shop that is for growers by growers. They buy media by the truckload so they have good prices, I got a bag of Botanicare Premium CocoGro from them for about $10 less than it costs on Amazon and it worked great

Please post a pic of the front of the bag. So A older gentleman knows what it looks like.

This is the stuff I used. I've heard good things about Canna Coco too but it is more expensive.

Damn your good. Very much appreciated. NOW I CAN MAKE no further errors. ERH in picking COCO ;)

Can't take much credit, the picture is from their website, I don't have those kind of skills with a camera! Can't take credit for selecting the coco either 'cause the grow shop recommended it, but it DOES work, no expanding or rinsing required!

looks like your girls transitioned to flower really well. mine are taking forever. i even put them in the dark for 2 times for 12 hours each. and also 24 hours but nothing. not sure why. maybe its the low RH or some cooler temps in the tent. its def been longer than the genetics call for so must be pilot error.

I was actually thinking that they went into flower TO early. LOL...we are never happy are we?
The temps in my tent are rather cool also, get down to 72 alot because the cob gives off practically no heat.
Your ladies will flower, I have faith!

Lol, i hope your son doesn't want much from you for a while after that statement!
:nono:

I gave him the mothers curse 20 years ago when he was around 7....and I gave it to him again. I told him "In the name of all that is holy....may you have 5 boys JUST like you!!". and of course i did a little curse dance in front of him. He thinks I am a goober. LOL

Thanks for the info hon! yes, here we grow was the one I heard of
There is a grow shop 15 minutes to the east of me I usually hit, but they only carry canna. I stopped after work there today and picked up a bag of loose coco today, price made me choke. Next grow I am def. gona hit Green Wave and get what you used. Sounds like you paid a great price compared to my 22 a bag for canna~ but this time around I just didnt feel like driving out there. My impatience took control...ha ha.
Its cool to have a grower near me!!!
I think the airstones provide oxygen to the root zone which is very important!

I only have 2 airdomes, so my next grow will only have one dome also. (since I will be putting baby seeds into pots before current grow is done) I will just keep 1 with an airdome and one without for my next few grows and watch for a difference :smoking:

So I emptied out the coco from my 2 awaiting pots (bye, no love loss) and filled them up with fresh loose canna coco from the bag. poof, done, much easier! i notice that even from the bag the coco seems a little moist. Also got a few more items at the grow shop, now I have the current nutes lined up for my new little Glueberry OG ladies when they arrive.
