One CXB 3590 at 50W is 56% efficient. That means 50*0.56 = 28 PAR W
28 PAR W is usable light for plants. 50-28 = 22 ... this means 22W is heat. You search for proper heatsink which can carry 22W heat.
HPS bulbs are around 30-40% efficient. So if you have 600W HPS, that means this light gives you 180-240W of light and 420-360W of heat. I guess 5-6 CXB 3590 at 50W will be better than this 600W HPS with much less heat. However, it's lower end. You want around 900-1100 PPFD.
The other way to calculate PPFD with lumens is also pretty simple. Total lumens / LER(324 for CXB 3500k 80cri) is the PAR W. Multiply this by the QER (4.65 ) for the PPF. Then the PPF divided by your 1,44m2 space gives you the PPFD.
