Welcome back! Took me a minute to remember the avatar. Sounds like you got a good plan. Sometimes the kind soil needs help in bloom so watch for p def. You can use some dry ferts to help with bloom to keep it simple and not ph the water

Greeting AFN, hope everyone is doing well.
This will be my first photo period grow, I do have some grows with autos under my belt. Most of my grows have been using coco coir and perlite with botanicare nutrients. I didn't have any complaints with my grows in coco, but wanted to give soil a try with organics.

Case in point: Painkiller XL . This new strain combines two well-received parents, Juanita la Lagrimosa (Spanish for "Juanita the Tearful") and Royal Highness, which are themselves genetic hybrids of other precursor strains: Juanita la Lagrimosal from Queen Mother and a Mexican-Afghan blend; Royal Highness from Dance Hall and Respect 13. On and on the strains date back in agricultural time, each new variety with its own unique smell, taste, color, high and medical benefit. However, in the past decade, a goal of all this tinkering has been what some producers are starting to call “Royal Respect” with the soul of marijuana's benefits going toward both body and mind.

Painkiller XL is notable for its near-equal representation of 9 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and 9 percent cannabidiol (CBD), achieved by a seed that's 75 percent sativa and 25 percent indica. While the sativa variety of cannabis is widely known for producing more of a mental, cerebral high, and indica has a reputation for contributing more toward its physical high, other factors are more important to consider: THC is the compound given most of the credit for that head high, with CBD takes the credit for marijuana's many proven medicinal benefits, which range vastly from relieving pain, anxiety, migraines, fibromyalgia and even mad cow disease to easing many of the most deleterious symptoms of AIDS, diabetes, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease. These are just a handful of the dozens of ailments marijuana is being prescribed to combat by doctors across the globe and in more than a dozen U.S. states. Cooperatives at medical marijuana dispensaries have been at the forefront of providing CBD-rich cannabis buds and oils for their patients, who undoubtedly appreciate being able to purchase the strain best-suited to ease their particular ailments.

This new strain joins others rich in both CBD and THC like Euphoria, Royal Medic, Medical Mass and Danceworld that seek to actually not necessarily downplay cannabis' psychoactive effects in favor of optimizing its healing role, but instead equalize the two. According to the California-based Steep Hill Cannabis Analysis Laboratory, this equalization brings to the cannabis user not just the physically healing aspects, but also the spiritually and psychologically healing benefits as well. There are other strains with very little THC and more CBD than Painkiller XL , but rare are such splendid balances. Producers of this strain say it produces a considerable amount of pain relief, with a mild, relieving mental euphoria.

With a flowering time of eight weeks, the Painkiller XL seed can produce 500 to 550 grams per plant indoors. Inside, the dried yield is 500 to 550 grams per plant. Inside, the plants average in height at about 31.5 inche (80 cm); outside, the average height is about 53 inches (135 cm), with harvest time at the end of September.

Setup: 32x32x63 inch tent
300 watt led (150 actual)
Roots Organic 707 mixed with extra perlite
6lbs kind soil
5 white plastic grow bag
tower fan for now they get bigger the will be using clip fans.
humidifier.
light cycle: 18/6
temps: 76-86

placed her in damp paper towel on 21 sep, and the next night the 22nd had a nice tap root, so she was placed into a solo cup with 707 mixed with perlite and earth worm castings. today will be her official day one above ground. She will be sharing the space with a Fairy Frost auto from auto flower portal. The painkiller will be vegging along side of the auto up until about the auto has about a week or so before harvest, i will switch to 12/12 lighting to flower out the painkiller.
in another week or so i will be putting in a screen in place that will measure roughly 29x29 inches, not sure exactly the height that the screen will be placed.
I think that is about all i can think of right now, will place pictures up in the morning.
:cheers:and :welcome: all .

that's for dropping by @Dudeski , and the welcome. I will def keep that in mind about the flowering, I was thinking about brewing up some teas if any start showing p def.

I switched from the KS but it does work. id just give it a tea when bloom starts, wont hurt. Are you trying to go organic for the medical aspect?

Will do I figure I have some time to get working on some teas to try on my tomatoes and peppers and see how they respond. Yes and no for medical organic. With me still be new to growing still trying to find my niche. I do love how organic works, and now I actually started composting, so I'm really getting into the aspect of how all this works together. But mainly I travel from time to time and sometimes I'm gone longer than a week, so it's easier if I can just tell them how much to water without the headache of mixing nutes and ph issues. I will say the I loved the size of the plants that I would get in coco from 2 gal buckets, but really want a simpler way.
